Can someone tell me what the stock exhaust size is to the muffler and tail pipe on a 2011 5.0?

It's almost 2.75" forward side of muffler and 3" aft side of the muffler.

 

humm 2.75 on the inlet? can a muffler with a 3in inlet still weld up to that?

 

Yes but it will be ugly ...

 

You can purchase a 2.75" SI/SO muffler from Summit Racing, there are 27 to chose from, the exhaust shop can open up one end to 3", and run a straight piece of pipe to fill in the gap. Or, install a 3" SI/SO muffler, and have the exhaust shop open up one end of the pipe, prior to muffler install.

A competent shop can do the work, and make the installation look clean.

the shop dose not specialize in exhaust so they dont keep pipe on hand or anything. There are no muffler shops in my area just repair shops. This place is local and i had them weld on some sub frame connectors on my mustang a few years back and they did a good job.

had to order some pipe since ill need some for the install and know one in the area stocks stainless. :\
