Mine just started doing the exact same thing. Same exact truck too except mine is a Lariat. Only thing I can think is during lunch at work I was lowering the seat all the way down and putting it all the way back so either something came loose or I nicked one of the wires. I am sure others have had this same problem.

Swap switches with passenger side?

Not sure how quick or easy it is, but it should rule out the switch or not. I'm assuming the switches are interchangeable, and not left and right specific.

My drivers side went out about 2 months ago. It got really hot a couple of times to the point it was burning me. Now the switch turns right off after I turn it on. Haven't got it checked out, but I'm betting the heating element blew. Hope it's not too expensive to get fixed.

Mine did this a couple weeks ago when some snow fell on the seat. Once it was dried up, I unplugged the headed seat controller (under the passenger seat) for 10 minutes, you could pull the fuse too. It should reset the controller and will work if something like that is the cause.

Now that you mention this, my Drivers seat has felt extra warm the last few times I've used it. After about 5-6 minutes I've had to turn it down, or off. Felt like the thighs were extra sensitive, because "it didn't feel like that before".

Hmmmm.......

No recall, it's not a safety issue unless the seat goes up in flames.

I bet if u left it on it prob would. When it was working it would get so under right leg you had to turn it off.

Well....anybody get theirs fixed???

I looked under both seats. Couldnt really tell what was going on under there. Didnt c relays or fuses.

Manual says passenger seat has a fuse in engine compartment. Nothing about driver's side.

Any1 have any suggestions? Do i just bit the bullet n ger a new element for $35? I did find a video thar shows how to remove seat n cover so that should help.

So as it turns out, my heated seat quit working yesterday. Now, when you push the button, the lights for the seat come on for maybe 2 steamboats, then shut off. I stopped by my dealer today, and they said the problem is likely the heater element, but would be willing to diagnose it for $130/hr. The element through their parts counter was "between 70 and 80 bucks" says the parts guy. WTH kind of number is that from a guy who had to look it up? Anyway, Tasca pricing is better, but shipping across the border is a killer. I'm gonna have to get me one, and tackle this.... eventually. I got a 4 month old, and a 19 month old @ home. Time is a rare commodity.
