Anyone added a pushbutton start on their 09+

After driving the focus for a year and a half, I now miss the pushbutton start that the car had. I've been looking around and found this

It seems to be the closest to the factory ford system the focus and my wifes escape has, plus it also has a remote start feature that works from your smartphone.

I haven't installed one or anything, but that looks like a really slick system. And it does indeed look pretty close to stock, much like a Toyota/Lexus actually.

Given that the ignition key only needs to be tapped to the start position and immediately released, what's the big deal?

Touch a key | Touch a button ... Paint the key red.

You do not have to turn-and-hold the key in the start position to start the vehicle.

But you still have to carry that big a$$ key and you still have to actually insert it in the ignition. With a pushbutton setup the key or fob is much smaller and you don't have to fumble around trying to fish it out of your pocket, just push the button and go.

Then how are you going to unlock the steering wheel?

Here is my 2004 with a GT 500 start button in place of the coin holder.

Pull apart the column and remove the lock pin, or leave a stub key in the ignition and leave it unlocked.
