No need for a boat if you've got 4x4!

Ahhhhh gotcha. I remember back in 09 or so, Lake Travis in Austin was so low that we couldn't put our boat in the water. We don't have our house up there anymore so I'm not sure what the water levels are like now. Some of the rivers dried up so much that every boat and dock on the river would be completely on land, without a drop of water in sight.

Needs to sell for a similar price as this to be worth it..definitely needs to be considerably less than a screw FX2/4.

Hopefully with rebates, discounts, etc. you can get the price down to around $30k on a 4x2.
I went on the Build a 2013 F150 site... a RCSB 4x2 XLT with the base 3.7 engine and no other options added has a sticker price of $29345. Once you add the Ecoboost engine, 20" wheel/tires, 4.10 gears and fancy interior that's going to add about $10k to the sticker price.

Ford's decision to make this an ecoboost equipped/higher priced truck was a mistake, imo. They should have went with a 5.0 with turbo or supercharger. They would sell a bunch if they would have went with the Dodge Ram Express route instead.

You're missing the point of what they are doing. They are filling the void that people have been wanting since the Lightening died. There is a small market for a well equipped fast truck. This market is relatively small so they did not want to sink a ton of money into development costs. If you noticed all of the parts are straight off the rack but combined in ways that were not possible before. If they would have used a different engine it would have cost a ton in development, implementation and certification. This added cost would have cancelled out the benefits of making the truck. Using the EB will provide a fast truck and not hurt their CAFE numbers and is already certified in the F-150.

Aside from the headlights, sexy setup. I'd rock that over the tremor any day

Totally agree with you on this...

There are certain members that hate the ecoboost (and has never owned one)and those are the ones that are not liking the tremor.. Time they get their big girl panties on and accept that the Ecobeast is here to stay.

It would pull my boat, and better than any of the large displacement motors in the lineup could, so they can eat it if they don't like the ecoboost. It would be a fun little truck.

Yup, their panties go for 0 to bunched quicker than a K03 can spool anytime the EB is mentioned.

I don't dislike ecoboost, I just prefer a V8 in a truck. No way a V6 is going to sound as awesome as a V8. The Tremor was a poor name choice for a V6 equipped truck. Other than the wheels, I really don't like the look of it either. The striping on the side looks horrible. I would rather save my money, buy an STX with a 5.0 and mod it and charge it. Would look better and smoke the ecoboost.
