IF you can keep your foot out of it, 4.10's can get better MPG in the city than 3.73.

Need a Hennessey version, like the Velociraptor.

This is the one regular cab option I've been wanting for many years now. I did buy a new '99 F-150 regular cab Lariat and loved it. I would have bought at least two more over the last decade if they would have built that option. When the new F-150 body style came out in '04, this wasn't an option and I bought a Dakota because it was cheaper. Why spend more money on something I don't really want. In '09, I still didn't want to spend a ton of money on an F-150 with a crappy interior so I saved the money and bought a cheap Ranger XL. In '12, I was truck shopping again and still wanted an F-150 regular cab with buckets and a console...still not available so I didn't buy a new truck at all. This year, it was time for a new truck so I finally pulled the trigger on a '13 F-150 with the massive, hideous and awkward XLT middle seat/console (even though I didn't really want to).

I want a regular cab with a high quality, comfortable interior with two buckets and a console. Just figures that they announce this model AFTER I settle for the XLT. Oh well, now I look forward to the end of my lease on this one. I'm up for a new regular cab Lariat with buckets and a console as soon as I can end this lease.

Really don't like this quote from Ford;

All-New 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor Is World's First EcoBoost-Powered Sport Truck | Ford Motor Company Newsroom

DEARBORN, Mich., June 27, 2013 – The 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor is the first-ever EcoBoost®-powered sport truck that addresses the needs of street truck enthusiasts looking for high-performance V8 power with V6 fuel economy.
I don't know of any performance enthusiasts looking for V6 mpg, that's even if this truck wii get them. Plus you'll never get that deep growl out of a V6, no matter how many turbos you throw at it.

If this is their answer to the Ram Express, need to offer a V8 in it.

I agree and I'd take a 5.0 stx rcsb over this. However those cafe regulations aren't going away... Knowing Ford, I bet this is a test to see if a lightning type truck will sell. If it does (and it will) I bet a limited run v8 will come out.

I wouldn't be surprised either.

Those people who came up with cafe regulations must drive really boring vehicles, and don't know how fun driving can be. Ford should give them some Raptor's or GT500's for a test drive or something. Kind of like when Brian Deegan convinced that kid to finally get a license.

Price tag will kill this truck. They need to keep it at 27-30k if they want to sell it. I think it will help get people into the Eco branding. If this truck is 40k there will be a lot of trucks sitting. Its essentially a RC Lariat or FX2, both of which are deep into the 40s. No way I'd ever pay over 28 for a RC truck......

I love the idea of this and think it looks great. But I too think it needs a 5.5 ft bed. But the biggest thing I'd like to see is a V8. I'd really prefer the Mustang's 5.0. The GT500's supercharged 5.8 would be awesome, but completely wishful thinking.

A source familiar with Ford's plan told CNBC that it will cost between $23k to $27k.
