I just went up to the ford dealership to look for a single cab xlt 5.0 for the wife. Me and my salesman started talking bout the tremor, he said the earliest will be end of September but count on october or November, also asked him if they would keep something like the tremor on the lot and in stock, he said no its more of a specialty vehicle like the raptor therefore they may have one or may not.. So that's making me wonder if the price is going to be on up there?
He's always been straight forward with me so I think he knows what he is talking about

Of course it's going to be up there...they would lose money, it's a fully optioned truck.

I don't think it's gonna be as far up there as u do. After all its a single cab pickemup truck. If I'm gonna spend close to 40k I'll get a fx2 supercrew with the ecobeast for the same price.

It sounds to me like this truck is not supposed to be a Lightning, it's not an SVT vehicle, it's not super charged, and it's not REALLY all that special. Yet Ford is going to produce it in small numbers and force it to be priced like it is special. If it were a normal pickup, we'd get the 10k+ off sticker, and have it be reasonably priced when we walk out the door. But if it is only produced in very limited quantities, people are gonna pay close to, or even above, sticker.

Same concept as Beats headphones. They legit suck and the proof is true sound tests. Yet I sell them all the time at work. They created a market that no one touched and as a result reaped the benefits and take advantage of anyone who buys them. Ford's probably going to do what you say. No deals, sticker or higher

Absolutely agree. Beats has the "image" going, and that's literally all you need in order to sell a product. They're horrible and brands that cost half as much blow them away. But this principle applies to a lot of different products and markets

Now - if Ford is going to certify the Ecoboost in a 2wd RCSB, why can't they also offer it in a stripped out XL?
You can get Eco RC online right now. BUT it has to be 8' bed

Does your wife just want/like a single cab? I think it'd be awesome to have my girlfriend drive a Tremor haha. I love how much more affordable single cabs are versus other cab types. We'll have to see if the cost savings applies to the Tremor too!

Yea the Minivan is almost paid off (we only have one kiddo) and that's all i heard is how she wanted a van so we got her a 07 town and country.. Its basically paid off and she now wants a single cab pickup, she says my supercrew is way to big for her.

So im gonna keep the van and get her the truck.. I'll probaly drive the van to keep the miles of my truck (6200 miles since end of April)

When i was looking yesterday i found a Blue Jean Metallic STX with the 5.0 201a package with the 18" wheels.. Pretty nicely equipped for 23k , so now im wondering if its even worth waiting, Like i stated previosly id pay 30k for the tremor for the upgraded appearance package and ecoboost but just can see paying much more. 7,000 dollars can go a long way on mods

I'm glad she's come around! Minivan to truck is quite the improvement. I was pretty surprised how many miles you've put on your truck in such a short period of time!

You aren't kidding with 7k going a long way! I thought to myself one time, "hmm if I didn't have to pay for my truck . . ." It would have a 12" lift, 40's, bumpers, light bars all over the place, 4.88's, retrofitted headlights, and a whole bunch of other goodies. I can keep dreaming haha

Betcha you won't be able to get a Tremor for less than MSRP and there won't be any incentives..........

I betcha you're wrong. This ain't no Raptor, folks. This is an FX2/4 in a regular cab. It's not a super special model.
