What's the best way to take off the vacum lines?

SUPERSIX 03-22-2013 06:35 PM

i have an AFE coldair...but i still have the factory intae plumbing if thats what you are aksing. to take off the vaccum line, give it a slight pull, they come rt off...sometimes once they get old, they tend to stick, so ill pull and twist..lol..or...put a flat head at the base of the hose and use the screw driver to help lift the vaccum hos off the fitting.

I was referring to the vacum lines where I can placed the coil covers.

Nice I am trying to get my buddy to do the same to his 5.0!

SUPERSIX 03-23-2013 10:11 AM

03Screwon24s..if you are referring to the pcv lines ie the hard plastic lines from the valve cover to the intake, they have a little grey plastic lock, just push the plastic lock and the line will slide right off. otherwise, post a pic of what lines you are referring to!

engine cover/ Hose selection

Hey, I finally got my cover installed. I rerouted new heater hoses across the fuel rails like the mustangs are done, under the cover. I used Dorman 90* OEM style quick connects. You can get them at advanced or Orileys. Supersix actually sent me the pics of his that gave me the idea, I only used 4 clamps total on the heater hoses. Basically moved the vac hoses down on the drivers side and extended the one to the brake booster. Reroute the coolant overflow down and over. The curvy evap hose had to be moved to the inside edge of the fuel line and rotated over to connect. The 2013's dont have to have this as they are routed around to the front and not curved up.I turned the passenger side hose down and back up behind the A/C line to avoid another set of elbows.I uploaded some pics to my album. I only have one coil cover on at this time because I am waiting on a ball stud I lost one. Hope you all like them:thumbsup:
