Green Mirror on Driver's side

Ok, there has to be a reason for this but I'm not sure what it is. Just bought a 2013 F150 and the outside mirror on the driver's side has a green tint to it at night. The small mirror does not have it and you can see where there is an outline that I originally thought was a tinted protector film the dealer forgot to take off. I do not notice it at all during the day but it bugs the crap out of me at night. So is it a tint or a heated mirror insert? I'm sure there is a reason for it but I'm lost. Thanks for any help you may provide!

The driver side mirror has the auto-dim LCD in it just like the rear view mirror. I don't know if the glare from headlights coming from the side mirror is less annoying than having the mirror darken. I know it does annoy me.

I am not overly fond of Ford's version of the dimming. I wish it would not change color, just darken like GM vehicles do.
