Hey I have a quick question for you. I have that same intake and also a 2010 FX4. What size level is yours? Do you have any rubbing with your tires on the snorkel? I have a 1.5" AS level (supposedly real world 2") and the 34" Nitto Trail Grapplers on the same 20" XD Monsters. I rubbed pretty good when I cranked the wheel. If you don't, did you modify the mount at all? Thanks. Good looking truck!

Edit: Just saw you said the intake was on order. I'm curious to see your results. I loved the snorkel on there, but there was significant rubbing. I have the 295/60/20 Nitto Trail Grapplers.

Sorry, I should have been more specific-I live in Fairbanks, near Ft. Wainwright and Eielson AFB. If you were interested, I was gonna give you a few pointers depending upon where you were moving(for instance, if you move to Waiwright or Eielson you will need to have your truck winterized). I grew up in the military, so I know it is a pain to PCS. Figured I would offer some friendly advice......

Has the step by step process and any comments I found helpful during the process.

Thats good info. Based on your stance, I'm thinking they're the +18 offset. And the size tire you have is basically the same size I have just in an 18" wheel cutout. I'm anxious to see your scoop installed. I think with that amount of level you have, you should be fine. I honestly felt if I just had an extra half in to inch of lift, I would have cleared it. So if you clear when yours is installed, that will help me decided if I want to get a slightly larger leveling kit to enable me to put the scoop back on. Can't wait to see it!

Well i got my S&B intake today and it looked like a pack of wolves destroyed it....I was very pissed....So i called the place where i bought it from and they told me not to sign for it and UPS will ship it back an not at my cost....All i had to do it print the label they emailed me and gave it to the UPS guy....So im getting a total refund....So now i noticed my neighbor had a 2011 250 and has a Bully Dog intake on it....It just replaces the top airbox cover and tube.....It is an enclosed intake with a cone filter just like the S&B intake but utilizes the stock bottom of the airbox....And also you dont need a tune for the BD because the circumference of the tube is the stock size so you can run on the stock tune.....I also asked him about running lean on his stock tune, so he showed me his dyno sheet and his A/F ratio is at a safe bracket and has been running it since 2011.....But the main reason i got an intake for my truck was just for looks cause i hate all that plastic under the hood, kinda ugly....but this is the intake i am getting now........and i got it for $199.99 + shipping

Well, thats a bummer about the S&B intake. Glad you were able to get it resolved. That Bully one seems pretty sweet. Curious to see what you think. Interesting point when I talked to my tuner, he said I didn't need a reprogram for my S&B either. I have a 5Star programmer.

The PCM adjusts for the amount of air coming into the motor....Also the trucks from the factory come pretty Rich so you have room to not need a tune for just an intake....But according to most on this forum...Im dead wrong...but i just laugh and let it be....If it was not safe i would not do it to my truck and a big bonus is that i can put it on our dyno anytime and see where its reading at....
