Update: Got a new code reader and it pulls code P025A - Fuel Pump Module Control Circuit/Open

Does this sound like a FDCM? Ideas?

Check out this post....... I'm thinking that a new battery, as dumb as it sounds, might just solve your problem.

Outside of that, another option is to drop $11 on a short term subscription to a pc/ed manual from ford, and it should give you a flow chart for your code. I have a hard copy of the ford service manuals including the wiring diagrams, but it tells me to refer to the PC/ED manual.

A quick search on google found this too, but I still would try a new battery first. I've read countless reports of how a new battery solved so many problems. .........

P025A:

Description: The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the fuel pump command (FPC) circuit for a concern. When the PCM commands the fuel pump (FP) ON, the PCM is able to detect a short to voltage on the FPC circuit. When the PCM commands the FP OFF, the PCM is able to detect an open circuit or a short to ground on the FPC circuit. The test fails if the voltage is less than orgreater than a calibrated limit, for a calibrated amount of time.

Possible Causes: FPC circuit open or short to ground
FPC circuit short to voltage
Damaged fuel pump control module
Diagnostic Aids: Check for any harness concerns.
GO to Pinpoint Test KC

I'd first suspect the FPDM or the MAF. Neighbor's Crown Vic was doing the same thing and it was the MAF. Disconnect it, if it's a bad MAF it will keep running.

I've already looked for the FPDM above the spare tire, it's not there. From what I've read only 04-08 models have an FPDM. I turned the truck on and unplugged the MAF sensor and the truck still turned off. Only stayed on for about 5 seconds
