OK, time to be creative!!

All, I've been searching for the "just right" lower grille insert for my 2013 Platinum. To me the various billet grilles don't match, and none of the rest look right. Here's what I'm thinking...

1) A lower grille that matches the factory upper grille Platinum or XLT or Lariat, etc. OR
2) A middle "bumper" that would match the outer bumpers - would be a simple plastic piece with sides...OR
3) Remove the stock lower grille plastic "bumpers" and insert a matching grille the full width of the lower opening - this would be my 1st choice.

Does anyone make any of the above options and/or does anyone know of a good fabricator in SoCal area who would work with me to develop this part?

Just really want to tie in this area of the front for a seamless look and the fabrictor would sell a ton of these...

I can't really help with your grille situation, BUT I have yet to put anything there to protect the intercooler and have had zero issues in nearly 12k miles. It has survived many highway miles, going down dirt roads behind other farm trucks many times, and the cities street repaving efforts.. No dings, dents, or breaks to speak of. Hell, even smacked a medium sized bird with a hole-in-one right through that gap no problems.

Aside from the protection, I am all with you on completing the look of the front end!

Thanks gdm Joe but that looks tacky to me...I'm really looking for a lower grille to either match the upper grille OR match the bumperettes to blend in. Appreciate the pics though

Would a 99-03 F150 honeycomb grill cut to fit look good? It looks like it would fit the curves well.

Hmmm, been trying to reach Wagner and no answer nor will their web site acknowledge my order...lmtc since they are a fabricator I'd like to speak with them about making a piece that would cover the entire lower grille and bumper pad opening (removing the bumper pads of course). Still searching....by the way, the Wagner Platinum match only matches the 2012 Plat grille - Ford changed the 2013 to a diamond pattern...

Bought this grill from gDMJoe here on the forum. Looks a lot like the Wagner Tuning product.

I am very impressed with the craftsmanship of the grill Joe made.

if you've got the boxes like that, you should look at the 99-02 expy grill (modified to fit of course)
