Here's a link to what I think Barry is talking about. It's on ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Headlight-20...aeac4e&vxp=mtr

However, it looks like this is for one side only, and it's obviously used. The quite ambiguous description (no pics of the actual unit nor "donor vehicle", etc) causes me to wonder what exactly they're selling here.

That's not the part. I spoke with them yesterday. It's 2013 headlights that are new with the bulb and they are HID.

For ONE housing or for both? Did they send you pics?

OK. So that's just for the driver's side then.

Curious - what is the price difference between these and the retrofits (of same general specs)?

Also, does anyone know what our current housing structure is worth? It might help offset the price of $1000 headlights if I knew mine had some value.

It's $295 per side plus shipping. Use the make an offer link on eBay though. Get eBay bucks and use ebates.com to get cashback also.

I'm interested in purchasing the lights in chrome. Do we have to buy the wiring harness separately?

Thank you,

-Jeff

Yes. The wiring harness will come from another forum member here. Last time I checked, they cost $100.

I can't speak for all retrofitters, but I'm in line at Raptor Retrofit and the baseline cost of my desired retros was about 1200-1400 bucks depending on paint, LED and shroud choices. Specs where new 2012 FX black housings, blacked out completely, FX-R 3.0, morimoto 5's bulb/ballast setup, amber halos, fully wired with harness, shipped. I have been thinking about stepping up to the LS460 setup which starts at 1500, but is absolutely killer when you see the width and output of the beam on the LS460's.

These are substantially cheaper and a huge improvement over halogens. That said a retro in the 13 projector housings produces killer results. Look for billinvic's 13 projector retrofit on the hidplanet forum.

I think a retro or the 2013 lights are killer, both will look and perform great.

There are 3 colors/styles:
  • Chrome (from Lariat, Plat, Limited, etc.)
  • Black (from FX)
  • Graphite/Gray (from Raptor)
