Ate a Hemi???????
i also find it funny this turned into an "the ecoboost would be better" thread...
"My 5.0/6.2 does this. oh yea? Well my eco does that and a backflip at the same time!"
"Man i love my 6.2 it has power! Cool, but my eco has power and sounds like a pissed off mosquito while getting (insert a lie of great fuel economy) while pulling!"
Man my 4.6/5.4 is a reliable time tested motor. not cool enough doesn't say ecoboost and didnt have a (ford controlled stress test)

Well......

Turns out I went faster.

That sounds better. Nothing wrong with being the 'faster moving traffic'.

It do make a difference.
Take two identicle running trucks, same weight, etc .... side by side, punch one 2 secs before the other and all the way up through the speed range they are capable of, it'll be 2 secs ahead of the other one, meaning it'll be running 90 mph 2 secs befopre the other one, as well as 91 / 92 / etc. It will appear to pull steadily away and once they reach top end, it'll reaxch it 2 secs before the other one and once both are topped out and run topped out 459 miles, they'll be 2 secs apart .... all else being 100% equal.
Take same two trucks, all other things equal 100%, start them from dead stop, spotting the one 2 secs again. When they top out at ... assume 120 mph is max .... one will reach 120 2 secs earlier than the other and once both top out at exactly 120 mph, the leader will lead by 176 feet.
Still, it was fun reading the story!

I knew it, only Chuck could get 365/420 out of a V6!
