Update on Vibration Issue 2011 FX4 SC, 6'5, EB
This isn't the first generation F150 to have a vibration issue. My '07 was so bad, I traded it for my '11. I love Ford, but it will most likely be my last new F150 for a long time.
My vibe has gotten worse the past few weeks. I hope it is the cold weather. Although, I doubt it.
I know other brands have issues, but a passenger seat dancing since day one on most of these trucks is completely unacceptable; as well as plug gap, vibration and soft brake pedal issues.

Yes and no. I visited the dealer a few times after tire replacement, and they performed a Road Force balance at my request, which worsened the condition. A test drive by Tech after RF balance was good. I promise you, it was worse.
I also mentioned the dancing seat. It seems to be normal. Nothing ever done by dealer service for this issue.
I also visited the dealer for a passenger front caliper leak. The caliper was replaced and they installed new MC brake pads with my resurfaced OEM rotors. I installed new MC rotors a week later. The soft brake pedal did not improve. I went back to have brakes re-bled. I went to a different dealer to have a complete brake/HCU flush, to ensure no air in the system. Brake pedal is no better.
Thank you for the help. My truck is no longer under warranty.

Problem Fixed!
Update to my previous post.
I went through the Camvap process and the Arbitrator awarded Ford Canada buyback my vehicle! Such a process but worth it! To anyone in the GTA area, never deal with east court Ford. Worst human beings I have ever dealt with. Every single person in that dealership. They ignored my phone calls, pretended there was no issue. I even had their service manager Mark Silverman say " well what are you going to do?" when I told him I wouldn't drive a new vehicle that shakes.
Well Camvap was my answer to what I am going to do.
He even said it is an issue Ford is aware of but they don't know how to fix it. But still tried to stick me with the truck. Then after the arbitrator awarded they played more games and tried to say I owed $700 for excess wear. After Ford canada and the arbitrator both inspected the vehicle and noted no damage. I had to wait another week for this issue, and the arbitrator answered and insisted they refund my entire down payment.
Slimiest dealership on the planet. Stay far away!
Ford Canada wasn't any better, just replied that it is operating as designed and there was nothing they could do.
Well two independent mechanics felt differently and that is what helped the arbitrator decide the case.
To anyone else with the same issue, best of luck. I was weary of Camvap success due to it being paid for by the manufacturer. But in this case it was successful. I kept very good records of all service reports and exactly what transcribed, which I'm sure helped.
Again best of luck to any in the same situation! Hope this helps a bit.

Has anyone else tried gapping the plugs? I have been all set since doing so and would love to know if it was just a crazy coincedence or actually what did it.
The fact that applying the brakes makes it worse makes sense with a combustion issue, too, since it has to work harder to overcome the brake force.

Hi everyone, been lurking the forums for a while, searching for an answer to my issue.
I purchased a 2014 XLT SCAB 6.5' box, 5.0, 3.55, off road package early this year. Love the truck and it's not my first Ford (4th) but is my first brand new Ford.
Sadly, mine vibrates between 55-60MPH. Been to the dealer twice (is sitting there as we speak). They roadforce balanced all four tires, indexed and greased the driveshaft, which helped, but it came back a couple days later and is the same, or maybe worse than before.
They're taking the issue seriously, which is nice, and they had two techs drive it and they both felt it.
Mine vibrates on accel and decel, and if I lock out gears, it still vibrates. I've even had it vibrate in 3rd gear at 60MPH.
The dealer's been really helpful and is working hard on the issue, but from everything I've read I'm not too hopeful it's going to get resolved.
Guess I'll keep everyone updated.

Well, add me to the list of others who have been told that it's 'normal' for this truck.
The tech used a g-meter of some sort (MTS 4000 I think?) and it measured between .016 and .018g's while driving at highway speeds.
Ford tech hotline says that .017 is the limit and these numbers should be considered 'normal.' BS.
For reference, elsewhere on this site, a member posted numbers taken from a Toyota Tacoma (which was also our last truck) with this machine, and they were all very near zero.
Keep in mind, the Toyota was a rough and unrefined POS in my opinion.
So here I am with a shaking $35K truck that Ford says is normal. Real nice.
I guess I'm going to build a case for arbitration and get it bought back.
Oh yeah, you know those holes for the running boards on the rockers? Well my paint's peeling away around them. Brand new truck btw.

I have a customer who purchased a 2014 F150 screw with the EB and 6.5' box.
Apparently the thing would "wobble" at low speeds. Similar to the OP, the dealer had it in the shop on several occasions, replaced the driveshaft, balanced the wheels etc., with no resolution to the wobble/vibration. So the story goes that after a while he received a letter from Ford Canada explaining to him that this condition was "normal" for trucks with the EB and 6.5' box. Since he knows the principal of the local dealership, he took the letter in and threw it on his desk.
Flash forward - apparently they sent a Ford engineer down with the yoke out of a Raptor and that fixed the problem.
Can't say that it will solve everyone's issues, but at least it might be a conversation starter with your dealer/Ford Canada...

Same B.S
I have a 2014 fx4 SC 6'5" box. Mine shutters at 30km/h and also from 60km to 80 km when truck is not at running temp. It has been this way since the very moment I drove it off the lot. I took it right back to the dealer and they gave me a rental for a week while they tried to diagnose the problem. They had Ford engineers look at too and I got the same B.S answer its normal conditions for the truck. I spoke to Ford motor company of Canada to get my money back or a new truck as mine was only a week old at this point. They told me that would be the dealers responsibility and when I got into it with the dealer they hung up on me. It's a year later now and still no word on a fix. Absolutely hate Ford now and will never own another Ford product again. I can't believe they can get away with doing this to this number of people. Everyone needs to get together and go after them there is power in numbers.
