Agreed. No issue with the epas on my truck either. 2011 EB Dearborn built. 9900 miles. I had a hard time getting used to the feel, or lack thereof, but no mechanical problems to speak of.

not personally attacking you at all, just making a general statement about all forums across multiple genres

Well this might be good news for me and the other people with this issue. If it is not normal, than it should be easy to fix. Maybe third rack/gear will be the charm for me. As far as your observation regarding forums. For me, mechanical issues either exist or they don't. Almost all of the people whom have posted on this topic have reported the issue and been assigned a case number. Not quite sure why owners of new vehicles would spend valuable time and effort trying to get a non-existent issue resolved. Just not logical.. BTW, racinwarrior.. Do you drive an Ecoboost F150?

I only have 8000 miles on my truck. Have had two racks and steering column replaced. Issue went away immediately after new rack was installed but after several thousand miles.. It returned.
3k on mine. No problems with steering.

I dont think it has anything to do with the EB motor....... If you are talking about EPAS, I believe it is offered on all '11 plus F150's.... someone correct me if I am wrong.

Our company has 10 ecoboost F150's and the lowest mileage one has 60,000 miles. All on rough/poorly maintained oil field roads with no issues.

I had thought that when I was reading the initial rant, but forgot to put it in my post.

I thought it was only an EB item...didn't think the 5.0 had it either, but could be wrong.

***Never mind...just found it on the Ford site; "All engines except the 6.2"

5.0s and 3.7s have the electronic steering. Only 6.2 doesn't.
