Soon you're going to want to take the rear head rest off so you can turn the car seat around. To do that, raise the bottom seat up and then it'll just slide right off.

But no matter which way it's facing - you can take a floor mat and turn it upside down with a towel on top of it. It's durable and will protect your seats and keep the seat from moving around.

Put your knee with all your weight into the car seat when installing it. The front (towards the engine) should not be able to move even one inch side to side when latched. If it moves more than an inch then you need to push harder to get it tighter.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family. Mine is 19 months old and you will be floored how fast they grow.
