Rear seat folding down?

I saw a thread with a 2009 or 2010 where you could fold down the rear seat of a Supercrew. I looked behind the rear seat of my 2012 and saw what looked like, the same set up. Only problem, I couldn't get anything to budge? Has anyone lowered their rear seat, on a 2012 Supercrew? if you look on YouTube you can see how it's done on a 09', 10', but nothing for a 2012 that I could find? Fold the seat up, then look and feel below the headrest area, you can see a bracket which looks like a hasp, that can be undone, and the top portion of the seat will fold forward. I just thought it'd be nice to fold it down and see behind? Nothing that I could find in the owner's manual? Ok all you 2012 owners, go take a look and get back to us. Thanks.

I did this yesterday. I also saw the video and wanted to remove the headrests because they block the rear vision so badly. The seat back on the passenger side came down with only a little effort. The drivers side was much more difficult. I did notice that you don't want to raise the seat bottom all the way up. It needs to be down slightly. When I finally got it to fold down, it looked just like the earlier seat backs. Good luck.

Without rear headrests, if you get rear ended any back seat passengers will put their heads through the back glass. Even the rebound of a high speed frontal collision could do the same. Could open up a law suit against you..... worth consideration.

When you have the seat loose, use some zip ties so the next time you want the seat down you don't have to hunt and feel for the latch. Grab the zip tie and pull up - seat is down.

That was the trick

I got them down, thanks. Not much room, at least was a good way to clean the windows.

I don't have people in the back seats and the dogs are too short to use the headrests.
