Hey PawPaw; well, that would definitely explain things...lol. Thanks!

Good luck with the 5.0, it's a good engine and some guy on the other forum is running 13's with a tuned 5.0 4X4, so it will get the job done.

I thought I was crazy with having purchased 5 brand new vehicles, all fomoco, since fall 2008, but it looks like I don't hold a candle to some of you. I am going to give the new vehicle bug a break for a while unless one of our rides craps out.

Anyway, I'm glad you're happy with the Plat. And I totally agree with another attempt at TOTM when you get her done.

EDIT: Thanks for buying another Ford. As a shareholder, I'm happy to see you buying a new one every year, LOL. Can't say you're not doing your part to help the economy.
Thanks hemigod! Appreciate the early vote.....lol.

Yeah, I was hoping that others would see that I have been doing my part to support the economy!

Desert Dawg - while I have historically purchased a new vehicle every year or two, I'm hoping to *break* the new-car bug this time, and keep it 5-8 years. At it's current rate of accumulating mileage, I'll have about 60k on it in 5 years, so no worries about wearing it out.

I was given a 1992 BMW 525i recently, so it's been my new toy, and makes me really appreciate my truck when I drive it (the truck has nav, better stereo, cooled seats, and some other niceties the BMW doesn't). Hopefully this leads to me keeping vehicles longer!

I'm happy with the same vehicle for years. I've always worked in automotive so I'm used to working on or driving a different customer's vehicle.

I hear you guys as I always have great intentions of keeping my vehicles too but then I get distracted with the next shiny one I find...lol.

Seriously, I am fortunate that I can do so but am very realistic if during any time it doesn't make financial sense because of souring investments or job risk issues; I will dump in a heartbeat and purchase a used vehicle until I feel comfortable that I am taking care of things at home and with business first. But I am also very good of finding and buying good deals, and have great aftermarket connections, so my losses are always minimal if any at all, and in more than a few cases I have actually made a little money with the right buyer. My wife says I should get into the car business...hmmmm...lol.

Some people vices are drugs, alcohol, or having something on the side. Mine is definitely cars (and trucks)!

Okay....since everyone is giving me grief about not having pics yet...lol...here are some quick shots I took this evening of my "stock" Platinum. I did go ahead and install my Smittybilt light bar and PIAA lights, but everything else won't be done until after next week since I will be away on travel some.

So here is my new baby:

So by next week, I will have the following mods completed:

K40 Calibre Remote Radar System with Laser Diffuser, Linex Spray-on Bedliner, Ford OE Rubber All-Weather Floor Mats, Matching Front Tint, Zone 2.5-inch lift (front/rear), Nitto Trail Grappler295/60R20 or BFG AT 285/65R20 Tires, Magnaflow Stainless Steel Dual Exit Exhaust System, Smittybilt Light Bar, PIAA 540 Ion Plasma Driving Lights, and PIAA 520 ATP Off Road Lights.

Once done, I'll post some more pics!

No, I kind of like it. I left it on my XLT and didn't think it look bad even with the lift.
