any regrets with 5.0 or eco?

getting my truck in a couple weeks and just wondering if you guys have any regrets with the ecoboost or 5.0? at first i was leaning 5.0 but the eco is looking really good.. i like to punch it and get up and go and plan on lifting the truck but the TQ and HP of both im sure would do the job im looking to do.. anybody regret getting one and not the other?

if they had a blue/tan king ranch in ecoboost I would have bought it no questions but none were available and I needed to trade in my 250 before something else broke...I absolutely love the 5.0 though. No regrets going with that at all. It's been a great truck so far (16,000) and I plan to keep it for a long time

Love my 5.0! Wasn't sure at first, but it has proven itself pulling, regular driving, and offroading every time. I would absolutely get another 5.0.

I've had my Ecoboost for 9 months and I haven't had any issues with it. I have no regrets.

I love the 5.0 and it would be my choice again. I runs like a scalded ape (yes, the EB is probably slightly faster, but this thing is way more responsive than my 5.4 with a tuner. Don't need any more.) I have 15,500 miles on it in less than 6 months and getting as good or better gas mileage than most EBs.

No issues with my EB. Only going to regret it when chevy makes something better next year or ford comes out with something new in a few years.

I have owned the 4.6 ltr engine the 5.4 and liked both of them. I've had the 5.3 from Chev silverado 2007 and I have owned the Ram 5.7 ltr hemi 2010 and really liked it!

But the EB is my favorite so far! I love my EB! I would buy another no problem. I have just turned 11,000km yesterday

Not happy with my 14.1mpg fuel mileage or the way it rides/performs in the extreme cold...

I love my EB but the 5.0 might be a better choice for some. With so many naysayers out there Ford is watching the EB like a hawk to keep the warranty repair #s down. I don't want to do any major mods but an intake and exhaust would be nice. I have read a few places that with those mods alone most dealers won't warranty the engine.

Also by sharing the engine with the Mustang that pretty much makes the available 5.0 upgrades endless. To each his own but for now the EB is still top in my book.

my dealer was up front and said CAI, tunes, exhaust be prepared to have your warranty voided, they said they wouldnt lay the hammer down per say but but have been told by ford it wont be tolerated.
