I'd say cloth. I mean personally it depends on what your doing with your truck and what you can afford as well. I got the cloth because its what I wanted, but also its what I could afford, looks good and is comfortable (not saying the leathers not comfortable).

I like the cloth in my 11 FX4 and I put California Seat Covers on it and they are sooo comfortable ( Not because of the Seat cover). I specifically wanted cloth and the my truck is 100% exactly what I wanted (and I didn't have to order it ) I have an 09 GT which has heated leather seats, I can count on one hand how many times I used the heated seats, so it wasn't worth it for me to get leather or heated seats in the truck. Whichever you choose, good luck

No, it was offered to me (additional - add on from Dealer) and I declined as that was an option I did not want. If it had it from factory I would have not purchased it to be honest..

I'm in the minority on this also. I don't care for leather. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter. My only complaint on cloth is that the fabric used in newer vehicles doesn't appear to be a "nice" as what was used ten years ago.

Have had both and it comes down to personal choice. It should be noted that there really is not much actual leather content on the 'leather' seats as only the center sections are actual leather. They tell you that the seating surfaces are leather. When I tore the leather seats out of our Mustang I found that the side bolsters on the seat bottom were vinyl as well as the sides of the seat backs (and one sits on these surfaces). The back seat in the Mustang was all vinyl as I recall.

Been that way since atleast my 2002 (so i'm assuming since 97) for the back seat. My 2011's rear seats definitely aren't the same material used on the front seats.

Good point. You pay for leather seats but only get leather "seating surfaces".

When I was a boy my pappy used to some times say that a new seat isn't broke in till you spill a couple of Rum and cokes on the new seats. FS
