these trucks have nice interiors, leather hands down!!
For one its another 3 grand on top it, is it worth three grand I think not. Hot in the summer as well. Its not like leather makes it a better truck or more luxurious, its still a truck. And I would hate to replace a seat cover thats leather too, I bought a seat cover that was cloth once for my 08 diesel to replace and it was 275 bucks that was just for the top portion of the seat, think if you ruined the seat bench in back it was like 2 grand just for the cloth seat cover, times that by three in leather.

Buy what you want and what works for you, just not worth it to me and the function of it doesnt work for me either. Had a Trans Am with leather and will never go back. Even ordered a brand new camaro and told them no leather. Chit sucks

You guys know you can buy the cloth equipped truck, then put aftermarket leather on later right?

Full kits for a Supercrew are usually 500-700 bucks and of high quality. Tackle it yourself or pay someone to put it on.

That is what I am doing. Just haven't got around to doing it yet. And actually, the cloth is starting to grow on me.

I know one dang thing, I will not ever have another truck with the old style King Ranch leather. What a nightmare to keep looking good.

I beleive Cat Skinz does a lot of it and its better than that factory leather is. problem is you dont have the heated seat, which Im guessing you could add.

it's not 3k for leather. it's $2325 for the option which includes multiple upgrades which are nice to have (back up camera, power rear window, 6 disc cd, remote start, power mirrors and a few other things)

2012 fx4's w/ leather have cooled seats. Leathers not that bad in heat, my truck is constantly at over 115 degrees in the summer, i start mine 2 minutes before i get in and it's cooled off enough by the time i get in.

Yeah I know they bundle the options these days. I would have liked the other options but didnt want leather. Had leather once and it sucked in the heat and it doesnt breath constantly getting swamp ace on long drives.

This was my plan, getting katzkin installed for $1000, but like you the cloth is really starting to grow on me and I haven't had cloth seats since I got rid of my '97 Dodge Ram 4x4 in 2003!

I would do leather if I had a choice. I have hell getting dog hair out of cloth even though cloth is durable and looks nice. I would also finance it at 0%, or at least some. You will maintain good credit and your money will make at least 3% interest for you elsewhere.

Only problem is once a dog rips a hole or nice scratch in it, its over with.

0% can be good, but really if you take incentives and finance on your own with 1.99 it can be a better deal and your monthly paymeny will probably be less.

why are you so anti-leather for someone elses purchase?

I'd do it just for the other upgrades that come along and higher re-sale later down the road.

I have noticed my leather tends to hold my heat more, but does not get "butt burning" hot in the summer like pleather. This results in me turning on my cooled seats on days where it really isn't that warm. I get less "swampy" on my leather seats than I ever did on my cloth seats. I went with the Lariat solely for the heated and cooled seats. If I would have known they would be an option for the 2012 FX trucks I would have waited for one of those. I really like the FX series.

I dont care what others do, I hate how people view a leather interior as some prestigous life event and if you dont have it your low class. IMO it doesnt work for me, had it before and it cracks and is hot. But maybe with heated and cool seats its a different story.

Funny thing I just bought leather furniture and not sure I am a fan.

Another option for adding leather is a company called Classic Soft Trim. Ihad there kit installed in my 98 Lariat with suede inserts and loved it. Way better quality than factory leather, and actually matched trim better.
