2011 F150 Lariat SCrew Completely Dead
I have a 2011 F150 Lariat Screw EcoBoost with 9000 miles on it. Took delivery in May. Have taken a few long trips with it and up until yesterday was loving every second behind the wheel. Now, here I am 200 miles from home hunting, went to get in it to go to the store and.....nothing. No power. Nothing. The ONLY thing that was working were the front dash 12v accessory plugs and the horn. No power to the display, lights, no crank...completely dead. Also, could not shift it into neutral to drift backwards and the tow truck driver had to manually disconnect the trans linkage to get it on the rollback.
Had it towed to the local dealership and hope they can look at it Monday morning, otherwise I will be looking at a rental supplied by the extended warranty which means I will have to leave a bunch of my gear at camp and come back to get it when my truck is fixed.
Any ideas what caused this??? I am trying to figure out how I am going to work around getting all my stuff home, work and getting my truck back; and on top of it all I haven't even seen sign of a deer much less take a shot at one. Talk about the trip from hell.....

I dont think so, he would have had his dash lights and a blinking light.

EUREKA! Thanks to a technician that used good logical troubleshooting skills I am back on the road. Turns out that apparently the junction plug for the fuse box behind the dash was loose. He pulled the connector apart to do pin point power testing and once everything had the voltages it was supposed to, he put the connector back together and Voila! Truck fired right up like nothing was wrong.
I blame the deer.
