Hold the phone! Where is the F250 king ranch option with a carli suspension? Have the power, fuel economy, and fun all in one truck! =)
I vote raptor between the two, ecoboost really doesn't impress me a whole lot! As I have a heavy foot so mpg goes out the window. I also can't leave things stock, so warranty goes out the window their too. (dealers are not playing with ecoboost warranties, diesels they have room to wiggle) I know you want the raptor deep down, raptor > ecoboost in any trim.

Raptor has more power, 35" tires and other goodies from the factory. Adding these to a stock truck will bring your mileage down maybe lower then the Raptor. I'm sure you're aware of this already but just a thought. I'd go with the Raptor without the Graffiti!
You guys would hate me then, I'd have to swap out the dark wood for the Blonde wood.
I am not a fan of the 'rich mahogany' wood interior.. I sure have, but I'd get into the raptor price tag territory and time is a major constraint now-a-days. Sure, we could build a suspension to rival that of the Raptors at a major price tag, but I wouldn't have much time to work on it so it would take a while and then I get into just when would I make time to actually use it.. I wouldn't want all that investment to go to waste

You have an EcoBoost don't you? A superduty would be a great truck, but I'd never get much out of it other than the expense of ownership since my towing/work needs aren't really that heavy duty.

I have what you call Dodge's version of a ecoboost, I6...with a turbo...and a megacab
I DO NOT care for ecoboosts very much, like I said I have a problem keeping my foot out of it and just not a huge fan. Great design and everything, just to much hype and doesn't fit my needs. Who says you have to tow just because you have a superduty? or even use it to its full potential? I am willing to bet 70% of people on this forum do not use their current trucks as a truck! I look at the raptor at, oh say $45-50k, a F250 loaded is $50-55k. Spent the extra $5k and have a truck that can do it all, add a $4k suspension setup and now you have a truck that can tow, haul the mail, and keep up with a raptor.
I would go with the white Raptor with 6.2 if you are willing to pay the extra $$. A friend of mine bought a silver 2011 Raptor Supercrew 6.2L this year and he drives 10 miles to work and back and mainly around town driving. He said he has been averaging 16 mpg around town if he is pretty easy of the pedal. That 6.2 is a nice power upgrade coming from the 5.4 too. Then you can sell me your 2012 Raptor wheels...I want a set!

In my opinion, if the Raptor is even the slightest bit of a consideration and option, the choice has been made! I think its like y'all have always preached when people ask what size lift to go with, if you list the bigger, go bigger! Otherwise you'll regret it. I love my FX4, but if I had a chance at a Raptor, you better believe there would be no looking back.

I am trying to be a bit more rational about it though. I was young and dumb when I built my current truck, now I have more things to take into consideration. I have to consider a new house being built within a year, a mortgage on the house we just built plus the new house, a darn cute 6 month old who is bankrupting us slowly (we wouldn't have it any other way though!), I am keeping my current truck, the ol' lady wants a new car, starting a new career, the list goes on and on and on... I feel like my paychecks are spent for the rest of my life already

White Raptor, without the graphics package. Ecoboost is fun if you stay stock, but from all my reading on the forums, it's really sensitive to bigger tires, lifts, etc. Given your history, I think you'd be disappointed in the EB if you started modding, not to mention warranty issues. The Raptor already has most everything you'd ever want to mod. EB works fine for me in the local yocal traffic, and I'm not knocking the EB. It's one fine engine. But I just think a Raptor is more your style - although DD has done a really nice job with his white XLT (just something else to think about LOL).
then i change my vote to hold off, if you know you are going to have multiple new payments in the near future and a new career hold off for a while since you don't drive much, a new truck will always be available. at best, then you have a larger payment saved up, or money for mods.

I still vote Raptor. It is obviously in your blood to mod, despite the "young and dumb" philosophy. You would be much less tempted to mod a raptor. As a stand alone head turner, it wouldn't need much anyway. Do it once, do it right.
