They replaced the camera.

did you just go in saying the problem with the lines, or specify something more?

I feel like my local dealers will turn it on, say i'm an idiot and give me the truck back.

I took the truck in with a broken tailgate hinge and just happened to mention it to the service advisor. I told him about the lines disappearing for no reason and that on hot days with the camera in direct sunlight the sceen would be a blank blue in the mirror when put in reverse. Accoeding to paperwork, they road test/verify concern loosing fixed line and have to reprogram/found ssm22049/followed pnpt test. Had to hook up ids/r&r rear tailgate cover/ck wiring/ck ok. Had to reinstall/Had to break tailgate emblem/R&R camera and reinstall new emblem & camera/ck ok at this time

sorry this is hard to read. I tried to copy the paperwork as it was written.

hmm, so it seems the camera is bad when we don't get the lines.
