I average 9 mpg with my Tracer (6,700 dry) but I've come to learn that it is all aerodynamics. Similar weight with a boat, guys are getting 12-13 mpg. I am pretty much pulling a parachute!

FWIW, my 2010 4.6 3v 4x4 Screw did about the same MPG. Acceleration however was non-existent.

My last truck was an '06 F350 Powerstroke and honestly I can hardly tell a difference between the two. The Powerchoke had a bit more pulling power on the hills, because of the greater tourque I would assume, but the PS only had 325 Hp I believe. I am using a weight distributing hitch now with my 150 which I didn't have with the 350. I was surprised how solidly it steers, meaning no wander with the 150 and WD hitch. My rear sags about an inch while the front sags about 3/4 inch now with WD hitch. I only have 860lbs tounge weight though, about %9.6, because thats where the bobcat lines up the best on the front for the tie down points. I can drive 120Km/Hr down the freeway with no wandering whatsoever and it feels totally planted.

WESTERNSTAR301- Thanks for the info! I was questioning because right now I am towing a travel trailer that weights about 4600LB and I am trading it in tomorrow for one that weighs 7300LB. So I am curious as to how the truck is going to handle it. I am also going from a 27ft to a 34 ft in length. I live in West Virginia, so there are some nice long steep mountains to climb. So I feel that this is going to be a good test for my EB.

I just picked up my EB last week and the season is already over but next year I'll be towing my Z06 to tracks around the upper midwest.

Not to get too off topic but can someone explain the XTR package? I've seen quite a few on this forum and here in Minnesota, but I've never heard of it.

I get the impression it is a Canada-only package? As I said I've seen some here in Minnesota but we're obviously right next to Canada.

Is it just like the Northland Edition on the XLT?

I'm more of a Lariat or FX4 guy but I'm just curious.

I just googled it real quick and this is what came up from blueovalforums.com

"XTR has been a Canadian tradition since the 10th gen F150. It is simply a Canadian version of the "XLT Chome Package" from the US, Although it is technically a trim level here rather than an option. It is easily the best selling trim level around where I live. It adds $2000 to the price of an XLT and consists of Chrome step bars, chrome 18" wheels, chrome door handle pullers, unique chrome grille and more."

18 ft dovetail car trailer with a 1955 Buick Roadmaster. Trailer = 1500lbs, car = 4600 lbs. Never feel it behind the truck. pulls much better than my old 07 F150 with the 5.4.
