Anyone else have the same result... configured an FX4 w/appearance pkg. in build&price and the displayed result ends up looking like a dually?

Seems that you can only get the apperance package on the 5.0 FX4. But you can get FX2 with the Ecoboost and the Appearance package.

Wonder why they do it like that?

I didn't think I liked the FX4 appearance package but the more I see it the more I like it, probably because I love red so much.

I am so excited that you can get Race Red on the Lariat. So for me I'd have a hard time deciding between a Race Red Lariat (it looks like the new woodgrain is much better!), loaded Race Red FX4 or loaded Sterling Grey FX4 with appearance package.
