Has anyone figured out how to turn back up sensor beep off FOR GOOD!? I pull a trailer everyday of trucks life (with 4 pin wiring) and the beep is driving me crazy. I thought about getting trailer brakes and controls just to get rid of beep lol

 

There is typically a button right on the dash, usually near the radio and heater controls. Have you not looked for this ? or does your truck not have one ?

 

2011 they are in the display screen. it is a PIA compared to the old way when you are already backing up with the steering wheel turned. have to go thru the menus while sitting still for 20 seconds doing it.

i'd add the TBC if the trailers you pull have brakes. i'll be installing one in mine probably in a month or two.

 

unplug the wires leading to them?

 

on mine, when the alarm goes off it displays "back up alarm" or something of that nature on the screen with an "on" and "off" button. Simply scroll down once with the steering wheel button and select "off". Takes me around 3/4 of a second.

Yea , I move from location to location alot everyday an i have to re-do the on/off everytime i turn truck off. Just wondering if there was anyway to make it stay off while trailer is plugged in. I know on the one with 7pin it cuts it off automatically. thanks again

 

Have you tried using the seven pin adapter?

 

Yea, dont work, I was reading somewhere that the wire for electric brake has to be drawing some resistance or something to turn off.

That's only if the speaker still in the same location and hasn't been piped through the radio speakers.....
