Nice truck! That course could have been better... I'm almost positive my 2wd f150 could have done that course if I had 60k to blow on a truck I'd buy it!

It's love at first sight! Love race red, but that silver one is awesome!

I have tried to reason with myself similar to how DesertDawg did, but I think the deal has already been sealed..

The raptors do nothing for me. I am sure their a great truck if an owner is actually going to use it for what it was built to be able to do but I suspect the average raptor owner never drives on anything rougher then a gravel road.
For 60K I can buy a nice used F150 and put the other 30K down on my mortgage, but thats just me.

Same here, they are neat to look at, but I wouldn't buy one even if I had the money

I'm not surprised to see them have a tame course for advertisements. You guys remember the bent frame fiasco they just went through right?
Folks see things in ads and go out doing God awful things beyond it's capability, then blame Ford for building an inferior truck.

$60k is a little high for a Raptor. MSRP is $42k and then you can get another $3k off from Randy in the Raptor forum and ask for the same deal someplace else. A Lariat with a 6.2 is more than a Raptor.

For example:

Ord Code: 517A Cust/Flt Name:
RETAIL DLR INV

Hell, there really was no fiasco... more like a media fiasco caused by A few IDIOTS over on RaptorForumZ who blew it all out of proportion. Most of the guys on that run knew it was driving over the limits of the truck that caused it.

These are the same idiots that try to get ford to warranty Busted drive lines because they where burning out and power braking, to replace entire front ends after they jumped off a sand dune that had a sheer drop on the other side... and wanted to sue ford over the drive line 'clunk'.. A few guys are ruining it for all the rest. Luckily, I think, Ford can see right past them! And if they read the forums at all will deny all their idiotic warranty claims and send them packing..

Even at $47K, I can buy a nice used F150 and still put $17K down on my mortgage. But again, thats just me and I have always been practical.
Who knows, if I was 18 or 20 something I might think differently but at 50, I'd rather have a nice house then a truck that will jump a sand dune.

my raptor was the same price as some of the lariats i looked at. the truck is a great truck, and no i don't use it for what it was designed for. the truck rides better than any f-150 i have ever owned, and has the comfiest seats of any f-150 i have ever owned. if you want practical buy a station wagon.......
