2012 Raptor Commercial
my raptor was the same price as some of the lariats i looked at. the truck is a great truck, and no i don't use it for what it was designed for. the truck rides better than any f-150 i have ever owned, and has the comfiest seats of any f-150 i have ever owned. if you want practical buy a station wagon.......
When was the last time you threw a load of brush into the bed of your raptor ? or had a loader dump a bucket load of sand into the bed of your raptor?, or climbed a mile up the side of a mountain in a snowstorm (unplowed asphalt). (I hate that climb, 4 wheel drive up and 4wheel low range, low gear down, you Don't want to touch the brakes !

I never said they weren't a nice riding comfortable truck, But I own a truck to WORK not to ride around college campus's looking cool. The average newer F150's have a hell of a nice ride just as they are, if I want a nicer ride then that, I will go take my car for a spin. If I want pure comfort in a seat, I will go home after my days work and park my butt in my recliner.

You are free to own a raptor for whatever your reasons may be. I am free to not own one for my reasons. Enjoy your raptor, I'll enjoy my nice house.
The raptors do nothing for me. I am sure their a great truck if an owner is actually going to use it for what it was built to be able to do but I suspect the average raptor owner never drives on anything rougher then a gravel road.
For 60K I can buy a nice used F150 and put the other 30K down on my mortgage, but thats just me.

Even at $47K, I can buy a nice used F150 and still put $17K down on my mortgage. But again, thats just me and I have always been practical.
Who knows, if I was 18 or 20 something I might think differently but at 50, I'd rather have a nice house then a truck that will jump a sand dune.

My truck is a station wagon...... And everything else I need it to be. I work my truck, (maybe you do to),

Or maybe a GT500 since we don't have much sand around here.
I do not ever plan on rock crawling or racing around the desert jumping sand dunes, therefore I do not need a truck designed and built to do that nor can I justify spending that kind of $$$$$ on a truck I don't need just because it looks cool. If there are people out there who need or want a truck like that for those reason, they are free to go out and buy one !!!

I love them and sounds like they can be had about the same price as my Plat 4X4, but I couldn't use it for its intended purpose so I couldn't justify the purchase.
Congrats to the owners who have them I am jealous!

well i guess i will enjoy my house and my house in idaho. i don't even cruise the local colleges. no i don't dump stuff in the bed, that is what a trailer is for. the raptor happens to be great in the snow too. i bought a raptor because they are cool looking and badass. relax.....
I like the new wheels. Looks pretty cool. Not sure if the camera is needed unless your really putting it through its paces. Or if you've got a top perch mod and cant see the lowered ricer in front of you. Haha. And the new graphics look cool too, but if i bought one I would get it plain anyways. Hopefully they keep this truck around til 2014 when I can buy one.
