Absolutely no patience....

So I was working with my dealer to try and change my initial order for a loaded XLT 4x4 into a FX4. I sold my Touareg on eBay within 3 days so without a car, and my order was still 5-6 weeks away at a minimum. I went back to the dealer to look at some more pre-orders being built, and sitting there was a white XLT Supercrew 4x4 with the Offroad Package with 3.73 e-locker rear and skid plates, Plus Package with reverse sensors and power sliding rear window, Chrome and Convenience Packages, Captains Chairs, etc. But even better, it had the EcoBoost. I thought the white with chrome package looked rather classy as well.

So I bought it!

They threw in the bedliner and rubber floor mats at cost and I ordered the backup camera which they will install. Also getting a Daystar 2.5-inch leveling system. So now trying to figure out what kind of wheels and tires I am putting on.

I drove the truck up to Santa Fe to test it out. Put 200 miles on it between yesterday and today, and all I can say is "awesome"!

Will be posting pics in about a week after some of my mods are installed.

I hear ya bro! I've been holding out for the perfect truck of what I want (sterling grey metallic). But I think I'll be going with a Candy Red Screw on Monday. I love the candy red, and I know my buddy will like it too since it's the same color as his '71 Chevelle.

bwwaahahaha... You sir are crazy!?

If you really wanted the FX4 you should have had them try and trade with a dealer here in AMA, they have 3 EB FX4's in sterling gray loaded minus navigation.

It's a done deal though, and its going to look killer!

hehe...thanks everyone.

Yeah, don't know why I was stressing so much about getting everything exactly the way I wanted or ordering a particular model over another because, as my wife says, I'll just turn around and buy something else again after a bit.

Thanks guys! Still undecided with the wheels and tires. Thought I was going with the black/machined face styles but now thinking I am going to go chrome (which is ironic considering how I usually don't like chrome but I am really liking the white/chrome theme on this truck especially with the XLT billet style grille and chrome sidesteps). Anyway, have to order my topper this week as well and hope to get everything pulled together soon.

Sounds awesome cant wait to see pics!!! Back in 09' when I was truck shopping I was dead set on getting sterling grey metallic. My 02' F150 I had at the time was white and I said I'd try something new. But when I saw the 10' XLT on the lot in oxford white with the chrome package I just couldnt resist .There's just something about that combo.
