New FX2 Eco Crew

Traded my 07 Tundra for Ecoboost FX2 back in July. So far a great truck except for one thing. This morning I went to pass a slower car a the truck hesitated for a second. Finally it took off but the CEL was flashing. Stopped about 20 seconds later and the light went off. Truck runs fine now. I don't know much about turbo engines, but maybe the weather had something to do with it. The barometric pressue was down to about 29.30 this morning because of TD Lee. Just thinking

The dealers service dept. is swamped so I might have to wait a little while to get it checked. Also I'd like to know what the normal trans temp should be. Mine runs abot 195-197 once its been driven for about 20 minutes.

Anyway here are a few pics. Stock for now and probably for a while.

Your trans temp is right, the 6 speeds run close to 200.

I had that happen a couple weeks ago and same thing. Passing a travel trailer and the check engine light flashed and the truck shuttered. Pulled over looked over the truck and started it back up. Drove it to the nearest dealer and it was a cylinder 1 misfire. But since the dealership couldn't reproduce the misfire they didn't do anything about it

Thanks, and thanks to all for their info. So far I'm getting aroung 16 mpg on 89 octane and a heavy foot I just filled up on 93 hoping to pick up a little more.

Awesome looking machine, I have just about the same exact truck, except for the fact that I requested 20" wheels vs. the standard 18" wheel. Mine is only two weeks old.

I have barely made 400 miles, and I know that this truck is a beast in sheep's clothing!!

Enjoy the ride.

The dealer had an FX4, same color same everything with 20's. I wanted it but not for $3000 more. Just hope I'll never need 4wd.

I don't know where you are, but I have driven 2 and four wheel drive vehicles in the snow and I have not noticed the difference, here in NJ. In fact I have not seen an FX2 in my neck of the woods as of yet. It depends how you drive under those conditions. Remember we are driving a 7,000 Lbs vehicle, and that is enough weight for me to get around.

I will post images as soon as possible.

FX2 vs. FX4 $$$$ ......FX2 any day!

Have a good one.
