Right about then is when you will hear "BOOM"

Add a blower to the 5.0 and then try and keep up with your simple mods. The 5.0 will be faster than the eco when you start seriously modding them.

All of the magazines internet sites... that have had comparisons show them within a couple tenths of eachother stock, so I think this will put the 5.0 over the eb. I think the major advantage the eb has is with a good driver you can launch in boost, but they are so close its really a drivers race. Most of the magazines show the 5.0 being faster to 20 or 30 mph cant remember, most likely because of some safety in the tuning of the eb. I (a 5.0 owner) cant wait for tuners for the eb as long as they dont blow up. I am ford all the way and it tears me up to see eb vs. 5.0 debates going to wars like its ford vs. chevy. The only reason I compared to eb earlier is because it is the fastest "real truck" thats not a lightning chevy ss srt...
If the dodges and chevys were better than the fords I would have compared to them, but they are behind.

Hell yeah. I have already talked to roush and they said a few months, that they are in the final stages of development. That would be a good everyday truck. For a strictly race truck/street not using it for hauling I think a procharger feeding the boss intake will make crazy power like it does in the mustang, but its just too high in the rpm band for me to utilize it pulling a trailer.

Lol, please look at all the SHO's and Flex's running the same setup with zero issues.

A 5.0 supercharged now your talking, I really wish Ford would have thrown twin-turbo's on the 5.0, talk about a killer.

Love you 5.0 guys as I came from a v8 and I now have a lot of respect for the v6 group as long as its a Eco lol.

In the end us Ford guys rock.

I was just kidding. I have heard the dreaded BOOM. A 351 Clev 4v running 175 nitrous. Got a little lean one night.

Yep, we are all Ford, so it's all good. Nice to have 4 good engine choices all the sudden.

I cant remember if a mustang dyno or dynojet reads lower, but whichever reads lower is what he has. Either way dyno #'s dont mean anything because they all read different. I agree that 50 hp at the wheels is awesome for $1200. With long tubes being made I think the 5.0 will make crazy power without going supercharger. When you go supercharger it will be rediculous.

True the 325 is not an accurate number at all but being on the same dyno I believe the 50 hp gain is accurate.

Deffinetly believe 50 is accurate. I have been following/talking to mike since he started modifying. I want to say he said it would be 375 ish on the other type of dyno which is crazy power for a truck.

Mustang dyno reads lower. DynoJets are the most accurate

different dyno's and different parts of the country.

until i see a 5.0, 6.2 and ecoboost dyno'd back to back any dyno reading won't mean much to me.

I'd like to see that as well, but unless 5-Star did theirs on an insanely cool day in the morning, at most there is going to be a very small margin between the two.

Lol

I'm looking at getting a 2012 F250 diesel but my wife is thinking of getting a 2012 F150 for her....all I can say about those who are arguing about which one is the better motor in the 150's, my 02 4.6 had a whopping 231hp and 293ft/lb of torque, the 04 f250 5.4 had a mind blowing 260hp and 350ft/lb of torque and all of us who had them survived and were happy. ALL of the new engines are a huge improvement over the past years....even the base 3.7 engine outperforms the ole 4.6 so I don't believe Ford really offers a bad choice in 2012
