2012 Model year is looking bleak..
The superduty nav is also shared with the expedition. Has pretty much all the same features as the F150s just a much smaller screen and its an all in one unit. Where the screen and some of the buttons on the F150s are seperate. Just FYI last time I checked the fleet website for news bulitons the superduty Nav was also on constraint for the same reasons the F150s are.
I am hoping others can shed light on the subject, but as we near the 2012 model year it seems more and more is either unavailable till late, or being phased out all together for this model year..
I am in hopes this is not what is really happening, I had heard the rumors but just ran across this while looking into it and it doesn't look good.. Hopefully they are bringing in new substitutes for the stuff being thrown out..

I may be shooting myself in the foot for waiting on a 2012 Raptor now..

It seems to me that this has no bearing on the 2012 F150. The only thing mentioned is 2011 supplies. They are prepping for the 2012 model year and will have a full supply of 2012 F150 parts/components. The components mentioned are "built-out" for the 2011 model year, meaning that the 2011 supply has been depleted for new orders. Any of the said components are in the last trucks that have been built.
For instance:
Lariat limited have all been "built-out" They were to be "limited" in quantity from the start, and have run out (other than spare components for warranty and spares). Assuming they continue, 2012 Lariat Limited will be available with the components designed for the 2012 Lariat Limited.
Raptor trucks are limited production also. Some 2011 were allowed for order, and others were allocated to specific dealerships. The unallocated orderable units are sold out. 2012 Raptors will be available with whatever components designed for 2012 Raptors. Raptor is not going to be cancelled, as it is the "flagship" Ford F150 4x4.
Ford must have only gotten as many Nav radio units as they were sure they could sell (plus any warranty units they hold back as spares).
They are also out of the paint colors for production. New colors will come for 2012.
SuperCrew bodies must have sold better than others and they are in shorter supply toward the end of the model year.

I just picked up my truck on Saturday, and the nav unit isnt just nav. it has everything intergrated through it. Definitly worth the extra coin. My nav has the Sync working through it, voice comand, hvac, a 10gig hard drive for recording music, Sirus radio and a bunch of other stuff im still learning.
Was in my dealership today, and was told by a salesman (ya I know) that fomoco has decided to put myfordtouch with Nav in the '12 150's and that they will have a large screen like the 09\11 did. He claimed they got confirmation this week.
The 2012 raptor appears to be getting some new rims and graphics... Both are ugly I think.. Leaves me kicking myself harder in the butt for waiting on a 2012..

Another member over on FRF was kind enough to make this screen capture image:
That is not the Nav system. It is the 4.2" vehicle information display. That screen is standard in XLTs an up. The Nav system is an 8" touch screen in the center of the dash that has the radio/HVAC/Nav/HDD/Sat data link. This is an option that uses parts from a plant that was destroyed by the tsunami and earthquake in Japan. Two separate screens.
canadianelbow, Great news. 2012 with MFT would be amazing.
FX4, I can't see the graphics or wheels too well, but what I can see doesn't look too bad. I'm sure the wheels will look better in person. You know how Ford likes to photoshop new stuff onto old images. It does the new stuff no justice.

The Raptor? If so, yes. Molten Orange is out and Race Red is in for 2012. That picture makes it look like crap..
