hoping for some help

ive got a 2009 f150 stx 4x4 supercab with the 4.6L v8.. a guy told me my truck wasnt strong enough to run the stuff i wanted on it- 6 inch lift with 35's... i just bought this truck out right because i was told it would do just fine and i really love the truck.. does anyone have some good or bad news for me if my truck will be fine or if its just not strong enough? i plan on getting a CAI exhaust programmer etc.. anything else i might need to get some power to it

You will be fine, I have a 2v 4.6 with 34.5"s, factory 3:73 gears and my truck does just fine. I bolted on a set of 37" Mud Grapplers the other day just to see if they'd fit and drove around for awhile. Truck still performed just fine.

Programmer and gears are your two best options when going with bigger tires.

I think your truck will do just fine, but what gear do you have in the rear end? If you have a 3:73 you should be able to get away with it easily but if its something taller then you might want to step to up to a different gear.
