There is a replacement Red Candy paint code that can be ordered already. I also read that NAV may be available to order this fall on 2012 models.

 

im hoping i can find a FX4 at a dealer close by and get them to match Grand Prairie Fords deal. i always buy form GP Ford because they are not owned by an individual, but by Ford Motor Co. This allows them to put deals out that most of the private owned dealerships wont do because of the money hungry owners.

i dealt with internet sales (allison) and got an awesome deal not a single dealer i called in texas could match (literally called 25+ dealers looking for mine and getting prices to have them shipped in)

they were the only dealer in texas with a supercab fx4 in candy red. houston had no fx4 supercabs at all, and had a very minimal selection of fx4's to begin with at the time.

 

I had pretty specific needs too. Crew cab for a growing family, 6.5 foot bed for camping gear, max tow to pull the trailer for our Boy Scout troop, locker because that trailer is sometimes parked on grass and dirt, nav radio becuase I'm a technophile... No one in town had what I wanted. I was going to order but the local dealer found one with everything I wanted except the radio... at a dealer 315 miles away in the neighboring state. I decided I could do without the radio.

 

i will definitely check them out. thats not far from me at all. went to don davis today and came across the same problem. only had one FX4 and it was black on black, definite no go. they did have a lariat 4x4 but it had the beige interior and i wasnt really liking it.

im wondering why GP Ford didnt just try and find me what i wanted. im thinking lazy salesman or he just wasnt taking me serious.

Just FYI.. probably more here-say. When I bought my Lariat on monday they were saying it's one of 2 in the country. They are not making Tuxedo black anymore. And they can't do Nav right now. All of this is do to Japan's water issues.

Exactly, I in no way wanted an FX4 and certainly didn't want a Lariat. The XLT is the best IMO. I hate moon roofs and absolutely hate leather in a vehicle. I also would never have buckets seats in a full size truck. Besides you load up a truck with luxury options and you no longer have any payload to use the truck as a truck. XLT is the best model IMO and why I bought it. It's the mid lux model where Lariat is the full lux model. Lariat limited, Harley, and Platinium models are what I consider fluff special editions for looks, not functionality. Each to their own though, some people use them only as thirsty daily drivers where nothing is ever seen in the bed.
