not a single FX4 or lariat 4x4 on the lot!

So I've been waiting for the dealership across from my work to put the "big discount" billboard up and low and behold the "$10,000 Off New F-150" just went up day before yesterday.

So I go over this morning after I went by one of my customers and out of approx 100+ trucks on the lot not a single FX4 or Lariat 4x4 to be seen. We hop in the golf cart and go to the back, the side, and the front again just to make sure only to come to the realization that they have not a one.

There were tons of 2WD Lariats, Special TX Editions, XLTs, and a couple King Ranch and Platinums and the salesman was trying to push any of those on me hard. I told him "I know exactly what I'm looking for and if you cant produce that you are wasting both of our time." He just had a distraught look on his face and said "I don't think I've ever had this happen. Our order man must have Alzheimer. Looks like he just ordered the same truck over and over again." LOL

I gave him my card and told him to let me know when they get what I'm looking for. I already had a 2010 FX2 and now I'm driving a 2005 lariat 4X4 fully loaded so I know exactly what the truck MUST have to suit my needs and wants as far as options and power train. the only thing I'm undecided on is the chrome or monochrome look.

Guess I'll just have to see if any of the surrounding dealerships have what I'm looking for and if they can match that promotion. That or wait around for this place to get some shipments. Sucks when you are ready to pull the trigger and there is nothing to fire at. LOL

There is a reason they advertise the $10k off. Some of the discount is built in from the factory for the less desirable models. Not that they are bad, just not the HOT sellers. If you get $7K off sticker, you did well. $8k off - VERY well, unless you have one of the models you are referring to. XLTs are a dime a dozen on the lots and are $10k off everywhere.... They also discount the loaded models heavily. But the FX4 and Lariat - not so much.

My friend ordered a Jeep Wrangler from the factory because the dealer didn't have one that he wanted. When the Jeep arrived they were able to give him all the discounts and promotion deals. Is this possible with the Ford dealer you went to? I would think there are still 2011's rolling off the assembly line.

2011 trucks are still being made but no Lariats. They have their fullfillment for the year. You can order up to Aug 8th for 2011's. You can not order Navigation (supplier issue). Screws are backlogged along with 20" wheels, so they will take up to 13 weeks to get.
All incentives promos are valid at the time of delivery, not at the time of order.

They are still making Lariats. What is no longer available to order is Lariat Limited.

I know at the Dealership that i deal with they have more XLT's then anything else.I think what you have to realise is they stock what they sell the most of.Not everyone can afford a FX4 and the XLT's are more in peoples price range.Plus i think most of the lease deals are the XLT packages.Just my .02 but that's the way i see it.

Later Mark.

the tidbit that stood out in that link is that it indicates that NAVradio is no longer available for order, nor will it be available for the 2012MY. not sure what that means. maybe they have a limited stash for the 2012's and are not accepting orders for NAV.
