Question Will 33" wheels fit SCrew 4x4 with no rubbing?

As the subject asks, will 33" wheels fit a SCrew 4x4 with no rubbing if I install a 2" front leveling kit?

FYI, the rims are 20x10"...

Gonna need to know what width tire you want to go with.

On factory rims I would say yes, it is the 10" aftermarket rims that are going to hose you. Stock tires are 32x11 ish. A 10" rim is huge and usually requires a suspension lift like BDS.

Hmm,

So Hell Bent Steel's claim that their new 2" aluminum front leveling kit for 09-11 F150's will allow even larger 35" tires to fit is patently false then?

I saw this eBay ad for 09 with exact same tire on aftermarket 20" rims and I don't see a "full on" lift kit on it (there is no beefy custom front crossmember as on ProComp/Fabtech/BDS lift kits).

you can fit up to a 35/12.50 on a 4wd with a leveling kit ON STOCK WHEELS.

yes those 305/55/20 terra grapplers will fit stock 20's. your aftermarket 20's changes the whole game. we need to know your backspacing of the wheels you have to give you a good answer, but 33's should be fine. possibly slight trimming on the front valence.

the issue is your wheel probably has 4 1/2" backspacing which kicks your tires outside the wheel well so you will get rubbing issues.

I had BFG 35" Mudders on my 01 SCrew but had Fabtech 6" lift on that.

I'm older now and tho I still love the big lift and knobby tires I think 33's will "git er done" for me nowadays.

You may be right on the backspacing of my Weld Racing rims. I will check them when I get to my garage.

If I am forced to a 6" lift then I might as well put on 35's.

That is a pretty hefty tire on a 10" wide wheel, the offset/backspacing of the wheel will play a big part. I think you'll be in trouble with a 4.5" backspace. I had that tire on a 20x10 with 4.5" backspace with a 2" level and it rubbed pretty bad at the rear of the fender against the inner wheel well. Even with trimming I wasn't able to get rid of the rubbing at full turn. But that was on a 2005
FX4...

take it to a shop and have them test fit them, there is a good possibility they will fit it's only a 33.2/12/20 tire so it's pretty narrow and small.

PM wandell and ask him, he's the tire guru around here. he will be able to tell you yes or no. you need to be able to tell him the BS though.

@SkiDood: "Hefty" tire for a 10"? Are you referring to the 305/55 Nitto's I want to put on or to 35" tires? I originally bought the rims for 35" tires for an 04 SCrew that I sold before ever using them. They sat in storage for five years until I got my 09.

@06yz250f: Tires just arrived at shop and HBS leveler kit came in today. Not sure anymore if I should even attempt installing HBS kit until I know for certain the 33" Nitto's will work.

go have the shop test fit the tire without the leveling kit. they should do that for you anyways. should give you a rough idea if it will fit or not with a leveling kit.

Dude, 33" wheels will NOT fit. That's Ultra Gangster .
You might have better luck fitting 33" tires in there as long as the backspacing on the wheel is good .

Just checked the rims and they are Weld Racing 480 Velociti's, with 4.5" back-spacing. Brand new "old" stock (sitting in storage for five years).
