Order guide changes for 2011 F150 since Japan??
I went in to talk to my Ford Dealer (In Canada) and they claim on a Lariat, I cant get Navigation, or the Chrome Package. I already new about the paint changes but was unaware of the other. Did Ford change the order guide after the Earthquake in Japan?? Did they add anything new I should know about?
Thanks for any help!!

I'm not sure about the NAV systems in the F150 but I know there have been issues ordering Mustangs with the electronics package (which includes navigation). I ordered one 4/21 and from what I've seen any order placed 5/1 or after has not been scheduled if the electronics package is one of the options.

I have the same opinion/wish regarding the lack of a 36 gal. tank with EBs. Why penalize buyers of the engines with the highest potential range by imposing an arbitrarily low max range with the smaller fuel tank? Completely counter-intuitive.
The 2012 NAV thing grabbed my attention as well. It seems unlikely Ford isn't scrambling to find an alternative for the 58N option. It's hard to imagine Ford is willing to simply pass up the revenue opportunity provided by a $2K+ option, especially on such a high volume vehicle line.

I could see how it could take a model year or two to find a replacement supplier. If you break it down: it will be a new design for the supplier, then they will need to come up with production, tooling and logistics for hundreds of thousands of units, plus once one is developed Ford will want to test it for a while before releasing it. So it is probably cheaper in the long run to take the hit in sales. Especially if they rush something to production to only have to pay out warranty work because the bugs weren't worked out. I wonder if other auto manufacturers are having the same issue?

I've been a Ford man all my life, but if they can't get around this navigation issue quicker than a year, they deserve to lose business. I find it hard a large company like Ford woul put all their eggs in one basket on this simple option. It's a touch screen with software. In todays day and age it isn't rocket science anymore... But more like contract.
