Running board step pads

My running board step pads are scratched to S**T after the winter. Is there any product out there to help hid these scratches? I find them very slippery when wet as well. Have anyone had them sprayed with lineX? I'm looking for options here and any help would be appreciated.

What type of running boards are they? The running boards that came on my truck from the factory, one of the pads was damaged and I ordered new pads for them, The only thing was they did not say ford on them. I hope this helps.

These are the factory chrome boards and they have the ford logo in the center.

nfld150...I have the same problem with the steps on my running boards and I think they look like crap!!! When I took my truck in to have the bed sprayed, I asked them about spraying the pads on the running boards and they quoted me around $100 bucks to do them. I decided not to do them at the time, but I really wish I would have done it now! I bought some spray-in bedliner spray at Wal-Mart that I used on the hitch of my truck to keep it from rusting and it turned out really nice. I'm thinking about taking off the running board pads and spraying them with the same stuff. I figure if I screw it up I'll just buy a new set and have them done professionally. Please let me know what you decide to do with yours and how it turns out...

I am thinking about trying the linex, if it doesn't work out I'll just order replacements from Deezee.
