My new '11 EB Fx4

My new '11 EB Fx4
So far, I absolutely love this truck. I somewhat miss the sound of my old '10 Lariat with the 5.4 and Mangaflow exhaust...but I'm much happier with this truck overall. The instrument cluster on the '11 is very cool, and the nav system with the back up camera is great (didn't have that on the old truck)...I absolutely love being able to hook the trailer up by myself without having to jump out to look how close I am like I used to. Plus the Ecoboost is a HUGE upgrade over the 5.4 IMO, this truck handles a trailer MUCH better than the old one. I'm sure the gearing has something to do with that too (3.55's on the old one vs 4.10's with this one).
As far as mods go, I'm not going any further with this one...just the wheels, tires, and tint.
Anyway, just wanted to share a few pics and say to anybody considering jumping to a new model...go for it! I'm much happier with this truck than I was the old one (which wasn't a bad truck by any means).

Thanks guys. 100% stock suspension, and so far...not one bit of tire scrub anywhere. The real test will be when I get it out on the sand dunes and start playing around in a few weeks, but I'm sure you can make anything rub if you try hard enough .
Anyway, the wheels are 20x9 with a +35mm offset and the tires are 33x12.5r20 Toyo MT's. Like I said, no issues with rubbing anywhere. The tire is pretty close to the upper control arm, but it doesn't hit.
I was a little leery of the offset of these wheels, I like the look of the wheels/tires sticking out a little more...but I love the way it turned out. I planned on going with a little less offset, and a set of Icon Coilovers to get the front up enough to clear...but the guy at Belle Tire convinced me these would fit in this offset with no issues. And I'm happy I took his advice, being that I will be pulling a 24x8.5' enclosed trailer quite often....I really didn't want to lift the front at all.
As far as mileage, I only have 300 or so miles on the truck, and maybe 20 with these wheels and tires (had them put on this afternoon after being on order for a month)...so no good estimates yet. I have been driving with quite a heavy foot (loving this ecoboost ), so I'm only getting about 12.5 mpg average (and about 75 of those miles have been with 4500 lbs hooked up behind it). With the gear setup and these tires, this won't get near the advertised EB mileage...but it will be fun. And if I was really that concerned with mileage, I would have bought a Prius instead of a 6000 lb 4x4.

I'm glad to see someone with 33's on the EB truck. It looks great! I'm a little surprised no rubbing, but that thing is sweet. Congrats keep us posted on your MPG with the 33's. I ordered the almost exact FX4 with the 5.0, then after about a month I reordered a Lariat with the EB. All it took was a test drive in the EB and I changed my mind.

There was only one truck on their system that was built how I wanted it (black crew cab fx4, lux package, HD tow, ecoboost with the 4.10's,) and when the dealer tried to get more info on it...it wasn't available (already sold or had a down payment on it), so I went through the options with the dealer and ordered one exactly how I wanted it. The order was placed on 3/10, it was built on 3/21, and delivered on 3/26...much faster turn-around than I expected, but I wasn't complaining.

Nice truck!!!
You got the elusive Ecoboost FX4 with the 4.10's and I see you had to order it. I talked with my local dealer about on and they didn't even show one in the system, would have to order it. We all know that most of us will add larger tires, it only makes sence to go with the 4.10's right from the factory. I do have to wonder what else is included in the ~$1600 up-charge fee for the 4.10's though, any ideas?
Again, beautiful truck man!!! Exactly what I want, except I want mine in the Sterling Gray shade.

The 9.75, that comes with the larger power engines are already 34 splines. I know my 9.75 in my 05 with the 5.4 has 34 splines. I am wondering if the 4.10 upgrade moves to the 10.25 axle with 35 spines?
