I am the same way. Start with tool box so you are always prepared. You never want to get caught with you pants down (Haha). You can always add the bed liner later, for peace of mind I always like being prepared.

2011 Scab Fx4 5.0
Luxury package, running boards, 20's, Sony 6 disc.

Working up a mod list.
so far a 500 gb external hard drive, working on getting it working correctly, all my songs doubled up for some reason.

UWS low Pro black tool box
line-x w/ xtra
leveling kit
33" tires (once stock's wear out)
possibly rims once i see what the stock 20's look like with an aggressive 33.
homelink once i can find a good place to mount it

trying to decide if i should go with a tool box or bed liner first, so input appreciated.
Nice truck bro - i got the same one. have it 1 month. love it. my mods so far are
20% front tints
Pendaline bedliner
RECON tailgate light
ambient lighting inside (custom) BLUE LED strips on both front floors under dash, 4Blue LED lights in the door handles. Front ones look sick. my guy cut small holes in the chrome handles so it shines on the chrome. back ones shine across handles on rear sheets. 2 BLUE LED light in the cupholders. look cool when theres a plastic bottle in there

changes Headlights to PIAA extreme white plus - 4000K
change fogs to - NOKYA artic white 7000k

putting black rhino bars this week

going with new wheels/tires after spring. 305/55/20 Nittos ATs with Ballistic Jester chrome wheels.

check out this site: it shows the wheels on red candy truck

good luck with your truck

Despite the so called "crappy" photos I think it is a great looking truck...almost the same I was going to get (FX2 version) till I got such a great deal on a Lariat 5.0 SuperCrew that I couldn't turn it down.

I got the bedliner sprayed in (Superior Bedliner) and bought the UWS tool box right after I left there. I know that you were looking for a "low profile" tool box but here is what mine looks like to give you another perspective.

I know you probably have the 6.5 ft. bed so you should have even more room than I have.

Enjoy your new truck.

Dennis - did you spray the undercarriage as well. I went with a bedliner again, but was thinking about spraying the underbody. I live in NJ, we had a bad winter, underbody rots out from all the rock salt they use.
