HID'S flicker and then off.. HELP!!!!!

Hey guys and girls,
I recently bought projector headlights and a HID kit for my 2010 f150. I got SONAR headlights and XTune H1 HID lows only kit.( Got the H1 kit cause the new headlights only took H1 bulbs.)
I am still kinda stumped on how to hook the H1 bulb in to the H13 stock harness. Now when I turn the head lights on the HID's come on, warm up and the start flickering and shut off.... \
Has anyone ever done a H13 to an H1 conversion before?
Could it be my wiring?
Thanks everyone

1) do you have a good ground?
2) some people have had to install a secondary relay harness to power their ballasts directly from the battery.

are you testing the lights with the truck running? if so it could be a voltage issue where they are just shutting down due to low voltage.

leave everything off, and key out of ignition.
wait about 25 mins. and check battery voltage.

i know a kit to just use stock wiring to run a relay will be your best bet. however if battery is weak. you could be picking up alternator ripple. and you might need a capacitor kit between the ballast and the feeder from battery

fyi. my stock moto craft batt died after 1.5 years. i threw in a redtop , it was about 3.5 years old. had it on trickle in back shed out of wifes traded 03 exploder sport.

fixed a few weird issues with truck. like radio issues , light flicker. ect.

Yea I tried the lights on with no power on and the key outta the ignition. The HID's work perfectly when the engine is not running. Then when I turn on the engine and the HID's come on, flicker, and go off.
So I am going to order the relay harness and hope and pray that it fixes it. I am thinking that since I have a 65v altenator and a fairly new battery that is testing out at 12V, i think it has to be the way its setup.
Hey thanks for all the help guys. I will let you all know how it turns out.
Thanks again

Hate to ask but are you running ballasts? Mine has a relay kit and it has a positive and a ground that goes to the battery then goes to the ballasts, there is a wire on the relay that plugs into my stock harness on one side only. I just taped up the other side. The way it works is that it just uses the stock harness for the light on signal and uses the battery to start the ballasts.

I would bet you need a relay.

I had a similar problem sometimes they work, others they didn't so I went to this dite and got the harness. You might need a different one as I needed one for the H1 bulb that came with my lights. The factory bulbs are H13. Hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks for all the advice. I got a wiring harness and installed it and it got rid of all the flickering problems! I got a relay harness with flicker plugs and it resolved all the issues.
Agian thanks for all the advice
