Issues with 2010 Fx4 SCREW

Hello, new to forums, I usually lurk in the background and found some useful info on thes boards but now I have an issue im not sure about.

Specs:
2010 F150 Fx4 Super Crew
6000 miles bought it with 69 on the odo.
Everything stock

Issue:
It feels like its sturggling to maintain 70mph on the highway. If i take my foot off the gas it slows from 70 down to 50 in about 5 seconds instead of being able to coast - It doesnt sound like its over revving and the gauge reads a little over 2k rpm.

Kinda feels like driveing into a constant very strong head wind, or like Im towing a trailer, or dragging something.

Gas Mileage went from high 16 to 13.7 Highway (I drive highway everyday to work and back)
Going down a 6% grade hill I actually lose speed unless I keep on the gas.

I let it warm up every morning for about 15 min since it about 10 degrees out most days
Its not in 4high or 4low. Its in Drive, tow/haul is not selected to on. When going down hill if I shift it to neutral, I can regain speed. Soon as I shift back into drive I can feel it slow down.

I use the same gas station everytime since I bought the truck, and I've ran a bunch of tanks through thinking it could have been bad gas. Tire pressure is good. All fluids are at proper levels.

Any ideas? or do I need to take it to the dealer?

I've noticed this as well out attributed it to the larger tires I put on the day I got the truck. As you said the vehicle does not coast much at all. If you take it to the dealer let me know what they think.

I did a system check and the brakes came up ok. But that doesnt mean it couldnt be stuck. However if I shift into neutral while going downhil I pickup speed again.

My fx4 had a problem where the firewall had lifted up and sucked into part of the air intake when I hit the gas... felt like it had no more power... maybe its what you have too.

LIKE YOU, I HAVE ALWAYS SAT BACK AND READ, AND LEARNED ALOT!! THANKS FOR THE HELP FROM F150 ONLINE.

THAT SAID, THIS MAY NOT BE THE SYPTOMS, YOUR EXPERIENCING, BUT, THIS NEW ENGINE/ or TRANNY AUTOMATICALLY MAKES YOU FEEL THE SLIGHT SENSATION THAT THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED WHEN TRYING TO COAST, WHICH MAKES NO SENSE, I WANT TO COAST (3.40 GAL) AND IF YOU HAVE NOT NOTICED, WHEN YOU SHIFT TO NEAUTRAL THE RPMS STAY AT WHATEVER REV, IT IS FOR THE SPEED YOUR COASTING, ANOTHER BAD DESIGN, UNLESS ITS TO SAVE ON TRANNY ??? THE SLIGHT BRAKING SENSATIONS, IS NOTED IN EITHER THE OWNERS MANAUL, OR THE ADD IN BROCHURE, WHICH OUTLINES THE FEATURES OF YOUR NEW TRUCK.

I have some issues as you stated and. I too have right at 6000 miles. The truck acts like it struggles to go and can't figure out what gear to go into. My mileage sucks . Next week I go into the dealer for a flash or something.

Sounds to me like a brake is dragging, it could be something electronic though. Let us know what the dealer has to say.

So, I dropped it off at the dealer this morning and had them take a look. Also had them change the oil, since i did it at 3000.

Heres what they had to say "nope nothing wrong, no codes no issues" "maybe its road conditions and cold out"

Edit** I'll check my mileage to see if they even test drove or just relying on "codes"

Nearly 15,000 on my '10 FX4 SCREW. Haven't noticed this at all. My issues are a passenger seat rattle and the plastic molding squeaking on the front doors. It has its first birthday coming up at the end of the month.

I'd bank on it being a transmission issue.
