2011 Harley Truck.

Anyone on here have one yet, want some opinions on likes or dislikes. Interior looks better in my opinion on the Harley, than it does on the Limited.

My salesman tried to get me to look at the Harley F150 (he is a Harley rider) but since I ride Triumphs (had a 2300cc Rocket Classic and now have a 1700 Thunderbird) I told him I wasn't really interested...maybe if Ford had a Triumph Edition F150 I might have gotten one.

It is a nice looking truck, but the bikes are way over-rated (sorry if there are some Harley fans out there) and the truck is obviously targeting a small segment of the truck buying public. Lower those bike prices by a few grand for an air cooled engine design and I might find some value in it...but otherwise I want my bikes with power and torque on a stock machine...not have to spend thousands to get it "almost" to what my stock Triumph is already...for a lot less...with more tradition.

The fact that it has Harley on the side doesn't do anything for me one way or the other. I do have to make a decision on the Lariat Limited, or the Harley Truck. The 6.2 and AWD is a big plus for me on both models,I still find the Harley a little bit more refined inside( Leather on the interior door panels etc) but I think the stripe package on the outside is ridiculous. The Lariat Limited is a nice vehicle also, but that White grille would have to go, and the 22inch painted white wheels.

I have #815. 2011 Tuxedo Black AWD. Had it about two weeks.

Likes so far:
  • Engine. 6.2L is powerful and Harley exhaust sounds good for factory.
  • All the gadgets: NAV, SYNC, LCD productivity screen, remote start, ambient lighting w/ selectable colors, power everything, etc.
  • Sporty, aggressive looks
  • Roomy back seat.

Dislikes so far:
  • Factory Sony sub sucks. Replaced with a 10" Fosgate & 300w amp.
  • Black is a pain to keep clean!
  • Gas mileage. Averaged 13.2 on my first tank with 65% highway and 35% city. Even less so far on my second tank with mostly city.
  • Plastic grill seems cheap and fragile.

That's all I can think of right now. If you have any more specific questions, just ask.

Nothing a little heat gun and some prepsol can't take care of easily.

ANDREWM. How do those Graphics on the vehicle look up close,I would want the Silver color HD and in pictures they look almost pink( The graphics). The interior painted black pieces look like a metallic black is that correct. Thanks.

I personally like the graphics. But that's just me. The outline is actually a reddish-orange color. It would look just as good on the silver. The painted interior is Tuxedo Black, which matches my exterior. It looks good, but you'll have to be careful around the center console not to scratch it.

Everyone that has seen my truck in person has absolutely loved it. Gotten lots of compliments on the exterior.

I picked up my 2011 Harley F150 Jan 18. The first 700 amazing miles are in and I love everything about this truck. I had a 2006 Harley truck and traded it in. BTW because it was clean with 54,000 miles the 06' brought me about 3-4 thousand more that a regular F150 at trade in... So the Harley package paid for itself. Also the 2wd, AWD, 4wd choices on the 2011 make it a no brainer... Spend the money, have something different from most everyone else and enjoy all the included extras. I posted pic's of mine and will be posting more...

The graphics take away from the truck in my opinion. I've seen the truck in person and sat in it. I also noticed that the graphics can be peeled off and that's what I would do if I own the truck. I would love to have this truck as well

Pmason718, while I know that there are a lot on this forum or at least this particular post that are infatuated with the Harley F150...I think your truck looks a heck of a lot more "meaner" than it does and I have a feeling it cost a lot less.

Good job!
