why are 2010 FX4s still so expensive?
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
I remember when I couldn't give my f250 diesel away when diesel was $5gal after hurricane Katrina. It actually gained 5k in value 3 years and 40k miles later when fuel went back to 2.67...
I live in Texas. I'm looking at a truck from the same dealer I purchased it from. They offered 20,500 on my truck. My truck is a 2010 XLT screw 4.6L, 2WD, chrome, tow, convenience, sync packages. Only 6060 miles. Thats the "lowest they can go". And he's offering a 2011 version of my truck( only it's 4x4, 5.0L) for 30K.
Dealers around here that give Kelly trade-in are few & far between. If you paid 22 out the door 20,500 ain't bad. Good luck.
My experience is assume KBB "good" condition price for a trade-in. Even if you just bought it and returned the next day they only offer "good condition" price. They say that's all wholesale will offer. Sometimes it's best just to go with that because putting it up for sale, dealing with yahoo's showing up to your house joyriding, buyers with no money, etc... it's just easier to eat some of the money and do the transaction that day.
Yep, I learned Excellent is only 3 month old like new vehicles. everyone else is good trade in value. My 2010 FX4 KKBs at 25k. That deal looks fair. I would easily expect 10k to step into a new 4wd.
