Get rid of it, looks terrible on the FX4, you could pull of a black one, would match the FX4 a little better. Sweet truck by the way

Another option

Nice truck ! I would recommend a product called Venture Shield, you can read about it on line. I had it installed on my 2008 F-250 Superduty when I bought it brand new in the summer of 2007. It is a clear very tough invisible film that is applied not only to the front portions of painted surfaces, but also to headlights, driving lights and even portions of the fender flares. The film does not yellow or check. I had it on my truck for 110,000 miles and it performed flawlessly. I now own a brand new 2010 Platinum and I am having the kit installed next week on it as well. They have complete protection kits. I had the kits installed at the local body shop here. I'm sure there is a dealer near you that can install it. The complete kit installed on my 2008 Superduty was $350 and it saved my paint job fenders and lights from any kind of damage, and at 110,000 miles the truck looked like it came off the showroom floor, I agree with a lot of the other posts here, bug shields are ugly and are a thing of the past. Check into this, you will not be disappointed if you decide to have it installed.

Thanks for everyone's advice. If I have time this weekend I'm going to take it off. Also going to install the 2" AS leveling kit on it.

I'm not sure what it's called but I put that film on my Ranger's driving lights because they are glass and kept breaking from rock chips. It does work good never had another problem in 6 years of driving and can't even notice it's on there.

You might find yourself nose high if you put on a 2" AS. I put on a 1.5" and I am about dead even, maybe a little nose high for my liking. The rear blocks on these 09+ F150s are smaller than the 04-08 F150s, so we dont need as much of a lift up front to level it up.

I don't like bug shields as a rule, but I don't think that one's too bad. It looks like heck on your truck since it doesn't have any chrome on it.

Another vote for line-x! Line-x the grill and the hood deflector.

I Had a hard time deciding on what size to go with until I talked to Kevin at AS, He told me to measure and jack up the front. I liked the stance at 2".

After I install it if I don't like it at 2" I"ll adjust to where I like it.
