Picked up my 2011 F150

Picked up my 2011 F150.If computer is anywher near accurate it got 18.4 on a 10 mile drive home 70 mph.5.0 126 wb reg cab.
Ford must listen to your complaints. The dash lights are on all the time now so when it it rainy and your headlights are on dash lights are also.
Transmission shifts great. With the select shift and you are in M it is in the gear you put it in just like a standard.I put in in 6th gear and slowed to 35 mpg and stomped the gas thinking it will have to down shift to keep from lugging. It stayed in sixth just like a standard would.
Right now I think I need to go drive it so later I will share any changes I see Ford corrected over the 09 and 10 complaints.

Congrats on your new truck. 18.4 is definitely doable especially with a regular cab. Your mileage should improve the more miles you put on. Enjoy the new truck, pics would be nice!!

I am not very computer tech savy but if I can figure out how to post picks I will.Only negative I can see so far is the oil dipstick is in a bad place to get to.Have to be careful not to belt buckle the fender checking it.If you think this engine would have a lot of spunk in a short bed reg cab you are right. No lack of power.

4X4 or 4X2? That will have a bigger impact on economy than the cab size.

I've been waiting for someone to get a reg. cab, and it looks like you picked everything I would've for options.

Can I ask how much you paid?

I can walk you through the procedure on posting pics, cause I want to see more reg. cabs.

Thanks for sending directions.I will take photos and see what I can do.They sold it at invoice. They showed me the invoice and their holdback.Holdback was $978 and they kept that for their profit.I thought that was a fair deal. They also gave me a bed mat and the tailgate section of a bed liner.

The 5.0 is really a sweet motor. Truly a joy to drive.

I test drove a 4x4 Platium SCREW today witha 5.0, and I would bet that a short bed reg cab would take any factory lightning on the road.

I think your butt dyno needs a tuning and no Im not offering to tune it.

But glad to hear the new 5.0 has some good perfromance.

I worry about the higher rpm thing and towing as I pull a 5k trailer on weekends at 70 mph...
