Just bought 2010 Lariat

Just traded the 2005 XlT Supercab flareside for a 2010 Lariat Supercab. MSRP $42,835. Paid $21,150 plus the 2005. More than half the sticker.
Moonroof, chrome pkg, Lariat plus pkg. Can't wait to get the new one. Now I need a factory Nav. Have Tasca looking into one.... Told the wife this one didn't need any mods .

With many walkouts. I looked at one up in your neck of the woods at Portsmouth Ford. Those guys wouldn't budge. Msrp of $46.555 took $9000 of the truck and lowballed m on the trade. Told the sales manger to GFY and walked out. They gave me $10,000 for my trade. I told them I would pay 25,000 cash and my truck and they wouldn't budge. Go fiqure. They have over 100 F150's on the lot too. Told him good luck selling those. The 2011's are coming next month.
I am extremely happy with my deal. Amd that included a full bedliner!

My fiance told me my truck was the nicest truck I would ever own... and I made most of the mods before I met her.

Not knocking your deal, but that truck would sell for $30K with no trade here. I bought one for that price back in January with the same MSRP.

So you bought a new truck and are planning to retrofit a factory navigation unit into it? Why not just buy one with NAV to save yourself the hassle? I can only imagine it'll cost you more in the long run to retrofit.

Any since you're in the your current predicament, why not go aftermarket? They'll do everything the factory unit will do, plus some, and will sound tremendously better in the process.

Portsmouth Ford is a big dealer with volume sales but they are notorious for low balling trade in's.
They were the dealer that I leased my "2000" XLT from and when the truck started runing funny at 3300 miles I took it in to my local Ford dealer. Before they could figure out why it was running funny, it threw a rod right there on the shop floor. I called my salesman at Portsmouth Ford as he was my direct connection to the original purchasing / leasing dealership and he said. What do you want me to do about it ? go call the service department, and then he hung up on me! I figured the least he could have done was to help me out and walk my problem over to the appropriate person to talk to, within the service dept.
Needless to say. I did not hesitate to express my anger, upset and feelings of downright insult, to the manager and owner of the dealership for the way their representative had treated a Customer who had just purchased their first vehicle from the dealership and this vehicle completly S**t the bed at 3300 miles. I found out later that the salesman got his a$$ canned.

Sounds like a great deal on the trade!

They [portford] had 102 F-150's on their lot yesterday, I took a ride up there because they had a 2011 Mustang GT500 in "Race Red" and I wanted to see the color in person. I wandered the lot for a while before a sales guy came by, I told him I was waiting for an '11 next spring. He said they were getting the first 11's after the first of the year, so they'll have to be making some even deeper discounts on 10's.

Five Star Ford in North Richland Hills, TX (Fort Worth) has 353 2010s. I have no idea how they will move them all out unless they simply have a Half-Price sale.

They will sell them, don't worry. With all the factory incentives my local dealer is ordering as many 2010s as he can get and wishes he could get more than that. Have you seen the sales figures for the last month? You're kidding yourself if you think dealers are desperate to sell right now, they are not.
