I Traded in the BLACKOUT FX4! Bought a 2010 FX2
Yeah it is a huge difference from my black truck but I had the black truck for over 5 years and i felt it was time for something completely different..
I got the FX2 through the XPlan and I was surprised at how much money i saved through that plan..
When I initially went to the dealer they tried low balling me on the trade at $13k, I told them they could have it for that without any accessories. They straight up told me that they want the truck as it sits so they could park it out front to attract other buyers. So i told them I want $16K as trade and they countered with $13,900.. I told them I was all set and was not interested and left the dealership.. They called me 30 mins later and told me they would give me $16k for the trade and I told them I would do that but I keep the tonneau cover.. They agreed and I went back to the dealer and bought the new truck and when all said and done with the XPlan + Trade I ended up paying $14k out of pocket for a $37k MSRP truck.
Kelly Blue Book trade in for my black truck (Stock)
Condition Value
Excellent $12,500
Good $11,725
Fair $10,400
I did have a few reasons to get rid of the black truck and I was completely up front with the dealer..
1) Extended warranty was set to expire in 9k miles (Truck has 66k miles)
2) Rear axle was going again which i just had replaced 11 months ago under warranty but paid $100 deductible
3) Rear window regulator was broken, I just replaced the drivers side 11 months ago
4) 325/50/22 Nitto Terra's were almost worn all the way, They have about 6/32nds tread (These tires cost $1,700 installed)
5) Clearcoat on front bumper started to peel
6) Large dent inside of bed under rear window, where i hit it while loading my 4 wheeler
7) Brakes were just about ready to go
I think they gave me a really fair price for the trade considering the cost of the repairs that need to be taken care of.

They gave you better than fair in my book!! You made out IMO! Good dealing on your part for sure! Liking the new FX2! I wanted white but went black since none of the white ones had a LS rear end!

im sure by this time next week they will have sold 2 or 3 new trucks. im sure they will direct everyone to you old truck and then sell em on a black 2010
you should call em as a fake buyer or have a friend go and see what they are asking for it. imma guess 32-35k

Wow, congrats on the new truck! Great job with the trade in, sounds like you got a good deal on it. You've gone about 2 pages on this thread, but I haven't seen any post from you with any sort of hint on what you have planned for it. Care to enlighten us?

The deals on 2010's are very hard to pass up, but the new 2011 motors are very enticing too
It will take me years to settle on a color anyway!
