What the reps say is not always accurate. The base V6 is available in a 4x2 crewcab. You can also build it with a 3.73 limited slip. The 5.0 is $1,000.00 more.

so let me ask this i got all the paperwork and hard numbers for a new 2010 xlt cc 5.4

msrp is 40875 after the a plan they knocked it down to 35937 and then the 4500 in rebates knocks it down to 31437

trading in my 2003 f150 reg cab short box all standard with a 4.2 5spd there givin me 2500 which i think should be 3k but at 2500 im making 810 on it

so at 31437 minus trade in its at 30627 and they told me 32886 otd with ttl

now the question is that a good price or should i ask for more off or give them my offer at like 30k or 31k somethin like that and see what happens

whats yalls take on it

If you got "a" plan price there is no negotiation off of that. All you can do is ask for more for the trade. Tell them you want 3k for the trade, what have you got to lose?

I agree.. I'm not a Ford employee but I believe it has to do with the way they calculate.

Bottom line is you might be able to get a few points under invoice minus rebates - but people see options package savings on the window sticker and add that to the money that they think they saved on the truck. MSRP is the bottom number, after all of the package savings listed on the sticker - not sure why people think it's the sub total before option/package discounts are applied.

I think a middle of the road fair deal is 91% of MSRP - rebates.

I can see how some people look at $1000 tow and chrome, $1000 ford credit, $1000 trade bonus, $4500 standard rebates, and the $750 brochure coupon and call it 8250 plus the discount off of MSRP and call it 12k. It's really 11k - but even 11k off is a great deal!

I just bought one last week through COSTCO which is $200 under invoice + rebates.
MSRP of $43415, The Costco price was $39390.66 -$3500 rebates. OTD 35890.66.
that was the best I could do for the truck I had been looking for.
